The day before yesterday, my friend sent me a BOP coffee bean. I don't know if I like this friend's baking method or the taste of the roaster. After drinking it, I have a feeling of happiness.
Then again, the annual coffee event is also being held in Panama these days, that is, the annual Best Of Panama cup test competition to select the best coffee beans and producers produced in Panama that year.
Panama, a very independent coffee-producing country, produces little coffee, only about 100, 000 bags a year, but their quality is internationally famous, thanks to the Panamanian Geisha breed.
The local coffee association (SCAP) did not join as a member of the Cup Of Excellence, but organized its own annual BOP cup test competition and auctioned it online.
The result of the competition was announced not long ago. This year, the Peterson family of Jade Manor, the victorious army, won the victory. Congratulations to all the winning manors and coffee!
Speaking of Panama, have you noticed that there is a new bean on our coffee shelf, which is the washed bean from MamaCata Manor in Panama when you go to various branches of Coco for coffee recently?
Mamacata, located in the Boquete producing area, was established as early as 1959, until it was taken over by the landowner Jose David Garrido in 1997. Many reforms were carried out, such as the establishment of a batch management system (Batching System).
And the installation of GPS in different areas of the estate to manage the climate of each micro-area, these reforms have made a leap forward to improve the quality of the estate.
This time, the manor's washing batch is introduced, which is a mixture of Catuai and Caturra, and the manor's washing method is excellent, which makes their coffee very clean and leads to the potential flavor of the coffee.
They are also the victorious army of BOP, and their washing Geisha is at the top of the BOP in 2014, becoming the first place in the Geisha of the washing group.
This batch will be the last small amount of Panamanian beans before the release of Panama in the new season, and it may take months to miss it.
