About the Manor

Valmar Manor is located in the Coban region, a perfect region with steep mountains, green rainforests and charming flowers, including unspoiled natural environment and unique microclimate. The contrast between the high-altitude mountains and the high-humidity tropical rain forest makes the place always shrouded in fine mist formed by dense cloud descent. Most of the coffee grown in the Koban rainforest region is grown on special rolling hills, growing harmoniously with the rainforest made up of local natural tree groups.

In this unique rainforest region, the Valmar family has been operating the estate for more than 100 years and deeply values the environmental responsibility of sustainable management. They preserve more than half of the native forest for a wide variety of animals to inhabit. During the production process, the estate also uses the broken skin coffee residue as organic compost. The exceptional quality of coffee remains one of the family's insistence that they carefully care for every step of the production process, from seed selection to the final step of storage. Coffee is hand-picked and treated in ecological washing plants that reduce water consumption, which is then recycled.

In addition to preserving the integrity of the rainforest ecosystem, Valmar Manor has carefully managed to make the coffee beans produced by the estate have the classic style of the Coban region.

Valmar Manor participated in the Cup Of Excellence competition in 2012, which won the third place.
