Urban characteristic Coffee Street
The previous articles were all about specialty coffee shops, and a friend asked, "are there all these single shops in Korea?" Are there any more commercial, chain or franchise stores? " He he! In fact, there are more commercial stores than single stores-there are many chain brands, each with dozens of stores and hundreds of stores. As for coffee taste, environment and mode of operation, there are not many comments. After all, commercial stores rely on commercial operation.
And what is interesting is that in addition to scattered in all the streets of the city, coffee shops are also densely distributed in some places. In China, economically developed cities will have their own "catering street", "food street" or "coffee street". In terms of scale, each city here can be called multiple "coffee streets". This time I just went to Daegu, a relatively small city in South Korea (it can only be ranked in the Big 7, with a smaller urban area and population than Qingdao). In cities like Busan and Seoul, Coffee Street is denser and larger.
Where are such "Coffee streets" mainly distributed? In terms of several places we have passed, the first is the food concentration area near the commercial street, the second is the relatively high-end apartment or office area, the third is the vicinity or necessary road of scenic spots with landscapes or scenic spots, and the fourth is in large shopping malls.
The following are several coffee concentration areas that are in a hurry to "shoot on the street" (sorry, because of the shortage of time, I can only take a few pictures with my mobile phone, the color effect is not good enough)
This is a "Coffee Square" under the office building. The online shops on the ground floor of the two buildings are almost all coffee shops, including commercial chain brands "angeles coffee" and "coffee&coffea", coffee and bread integrated "paris baguette", and more high-end professional "coffee myungga". There are also several single stores, in addition to selling coffee, there are also coffee dessert combination, coffee book bar combination form.
(the combination of one of the coffee houses and the book bar)
(coffee myungga with a small number of stores but with a high degree of professionalism)
On the contrary, Starbucks is not very popular in the city (which may surprise many Starbucks fans in China, right?) There are only nine Starbucks stores in this city, and the operation is mediocre-just like this one, it is excluded from the "Coffee Square" and can only be seen from across the road.
The following photos were taken in another gourmet neighborhood, where there are major coffee shops and restaurants, mostly western food. The overall scale of the store here is too large, basically two or three floors, the mobile phone can not take the overall picture, hastily photographed several of them, about 500 meters on both sides of the road concentrated on the distribution of more than a dozen such coffee shops.
(this is one of the coffee shops that combine coffee with furniture.)
(this house is also a coffee and household product, called museum coffee, but the name is too big
)
The following pictures were taken in Rakuten Department Store. On the fifth floor of the mall is the ticket office of the cinema. This "Coffee Street" stretches for 50 meters next to the ticket office. There are about a dozen coffee shops, which are small in scale and mainly take away. The main customer groups are the customers in the mall and the people who have bought tickets to wait for the movie.
(the shop is small but there are many customers.)
)
Simple decoration is a style that young people like.
So many coffee streets, so dense coffee distribution, such a variety of coffee shop forms-- it does show the maturity of the industry in this city. Before, many students also came up with the idea of opening a shop because they saw the prosperity of coffee shops on the streets of South Korean cities, but they can't just look at the surface. This scale is also the result of the rapid development of the coffee industry in the last decade. In the late 1990s, the development level of South Korea's coffee industry may not be able to catch up with the current domestic big cities. But are there so many stores-is it really very profitable for every store to do brisk business? It's hard to say-- like other industries, the coffee shop industry is full of joys and sorrows. In fact, 70% of the shops are unprofitable, and if you look closely at the remaining 30%, the ones that make a profit are the ones with characteristics, especially those with better coffee and desserts. Therefore, for some friends who want to invest in the coffee industry, it can also be a reference. If there is no characteristic in the sunrise industry, then it can only be sacrificed under the rolling wheels of the industry, and those shops with special skills and outstanding characteristics will show their advantages and endure as time goes by.
I hope that China's coffee industry can also achieve such prosperity as soon as possible. I also hope that friends who are interested in joining the coffee industry will think and prepare more, so that their stores will still bloom brightly and last long during the great prosperity of this industry.

This store has also been open for more than 10 years, the location is relatively partial, about 100 kilometers away from Daegu City, but because of its characteristics and years of careful management, it has now become a famous store. What are its features? The coffee shop combines with the specialty inn. This shop is located in the cove of the roadside leading to Mount Jiahu. What was the name of the first coffee shop in Vienna? Blue bottle Cafe. This blue bottle is not that blue bottle. When I started coffee, I looked for the Blue bottle Cafe. As a result, I found a chain store in the United States. It seemed that I went for a short walk on the website. Later, when I talked about the topic of the earliest coffee shop in the world, I also mentioned that there is also a blue bottle in the United States. It's doing a good job. It's regional.
