Arnulfo Leguizamp, the owner of the estate, is the son of a coffee farmer born in Teruel, Huila province. I studied mechanical activities when I was young, and also engaged in a lot of urban environmental work, before I decided to devote myself to the coffee industry.
More than 20 years ago, he was supposed to travel to San Agustin to learn about the mysterious statues in the archaeological park, but the climate, friendly people and land resources made him fall in love with the place, where he met his wife, Aura Rita Bolanos.
Coffee Manor began with a hectare of land owned by Aura Rita Bolanos, and then bought more than 3 hectares of land, slowly expanding coffee cultivation, naming the estate "Primavera", which means spring in Spanish, and is located in the village of El Tabor in San Agustin. As a member of the Los Naranjos organization, Arnulfo is very proud of his status as a farmer.
The main variety grown on the estate is Caturra, which is also gradually integrated into Castillo coffee. Arnulfo has been certified for rainforest conservation for four years. He is committed to the conservation of natural water and birds, and continues to focus on environmental protection through waste recycling and the non-use of chemical products. This belief principle is for his children and grandchildren, he hopes that his land will not be polluted, so that his cherished family can always live in a healthy environment. On the principle of coffee production based on quality, he said, "I do these things with love and dedication, and I have the support of my wife and children." The advantage of the place where my farm is located is a secret, but to put it bluntly, it is mainly high altitude, suitable climate, and carries out every step with emphasis on flavor and quality. It is very important that we only pick fully ripe coffee cherries and insist on proper and immediate treatment, such as washing the coffee fruit with clean water and ventilating and drying in the sun in a system called "Casa Elda". "
Arnulfo also trained his son to learn cup testing skills in Los Naranjos's cup testing laboratory, laying the foundation for his career succession. For the new generation of coffee farmers, it is hoped that with miniature batches of coffee that can be traced back to production information, the fruits of their hard work can be shown to the world through excellent cup flavor. The purchase of excellent flavor coffee batches at a premium has also encouraged coffee farmers to improve their output quality to a considerable extent. Spring Manor won the honor of the champion manor with a high rating of 94 points in the 2011 Columbia COE Competition.
