The owner of Gesha Village, Adam Overton, came to Ethiopia in 2007 to film a coffee documentary. After further exposure to coffee, Mr. Adam was deeply attracted to coffee and decided to stay in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, and devote himself to coffee.

In the initial search for a farm site, Adam and his wife wanted to be close to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital, considering transportation and labor resources. However, the results of the search are not ideal. By chance, Adam and his wife found an isolated forest at Bench-Maji near the Sudanese border at an altitude of 1,909-2,069 meters, and were attracted by the pristine environment and enthusiastic indigenous people there. They decided to start preparing the ground for the construction of Rose Summer Manor in October 2011.

Expanding to 2018, the coffee plantation area of Guixia Village Estate is about 320 hectares, accounting for about 68% of the total estate area ( 471 hectares). The GV estate is divided into 8 planting plots according to microclimate and variety-Shewa-Jibabu, Dimma, Shaya, Bangi, Gaylee, Narsha, Oma, and Surma. In addition to the Gori geisha variety (GG) from the neighboring Gori Gesha original coffee forest, there are also G31 rose-summer coffee varieties selected morphologically from Gori Gesha forest with a flavor similar to that of Panamanian geisha and IF varieties bred by Ethiopian research laboratories.

To be the most environmentally friendly in Ethiopia and to promote environmental awareness is the ultimate goal of Crescendo. In pursuit of this goal, Adam and his wife also strictly control each step of harvesting and processing, never compromise on quality, and continue to manage the relationship between employees and customers.

The two batches purchased this year are Surma plot and Bangi plot respectively. The variety picked in Bangi is Gori Summer (GG), with intense red fruit and delicate flavors. Lot # 60 has a floral bouquet, followed by colorful berry and honeydew melon flavours, with a delicate honey finish.
