[manor Information]
Founded in 1924, Finca Lerida is one of the earliest coffee plantations in Panama. In 1911, Norwegian engineer M ö nniche came here to recuperate from illness and has loved it ever since. When M ö nniche retired in 1924, he returned with his wife, Julia, and bought a piece of land at the foot of the Baru volcano, where he built his house, now Lerida Manor, and began growing coffee.
M ö nniche found that the quality of coffee fruits varied after harvest, so in order to improve this situation, he developed a device called Sifon, which can classify coffee fruits in an orderly way by floating and layering. Although this practice is now popular in coffee plantations around the world, it is still a guarantee for the excellent quality of coffee, which was definitely an initiative nearly a century ago. Since 1929, Lerida Manor exported the first batch of Panamanian boutique coffee to Germany, and the high quality of coffee made it immediately become the representative of boutique coffee in Europe.
Located in the Boquete area of Panama's Chiriqui province, Lerida Manor has a superior geographical environment and ecological balance, with an elevation of more than 1500 meters, and the coffee garden is surrounded by a natural tropical ecological park, surrounded by Baru Volcano National Park, La Amistad International Park, and nearby there are nearly 1500 different rare species of birds.
In addition to coffee cultivation, the manor also operates a retro-style holiday Eco Hotel, with deluxe rooms, specialty restaurants and cafes, where you can experience the manor's coffee and delicacies, as well as bird watching and coffee tours.
The surrounding natural ecological environment has shaped the unique micro-climate of the manor, where there is plenty of sunshine and Rain Water, coupled with the fertile soil formed by volcanic ash on the Balu volcano, the unique environment has created the unique flavor of coffee.
LERIDA ESTATE, the earliest coffee plantation in Panama
[said the baker]
Compared with the previous sun-treated Rose Summer Coffee, this Rose Summer Coffee not only retains the unique aroma of the sun, but also has the bright acidity and elegant floral aroma of washed Rose Summer Coffee.
Finally, there is a sunrose summer coffee. I still remember that a previous washed rose summer also came from this Lerida manor, and the rich floral aroma of this sunrose summer coffee also has a full and meticulous taste that is worth looking forward to.
[said the barista]
The wet fragrance has obvious sun bean flavor, no burden on the entrance, high cleanliness, moderate acidity and soft acidity. The consistency of the coffee liquid makes the tongue feel wrapped, full of sweetness and long-lasting. When exhaling, the strong sun aroma mixed with a little flower fragrance, very comfortable.
Fruit tonality, high-quality sweetness, and smooth taste bring the satisfaction of smell, taste and touch.
In addition to the distinct characteristics of flavor and taste, it is also outstanding in terms of strong inclusiveness and diversity in cooking. You can boldly try to use different cooking methods to appreciate the variety of charm it shows.
