The difference between Starbucks Fragrance White Coffee and Australian White Latte introduction to the taste and flavor of Italian espresso

"Fuluibai", when I heard the name for the first time, took it for granted that it was associated with white coffee, or coffee with less coffee content and whiter color. Nowadays, more people like to walk into a cafe and say to the barista: Hello, I'd like a Flat White. What kind of coffee is Flat White? How did it come into being?
There is no more familiar milk coffee than latte, and Starbucks has become popular all over the world with this milk coffee, which originated in Europe. Until around 2015, Starbucks promoted the Flat White in the Chinese market, but it didn't look very good. Until Starbucks' old rival, Australian coffee brand Gloria Coffee, wanted to break into the Chinese market, Starbucks had to make efforts to promote this coffee product.
In the face of the Australian coffee market, Starbucks is not untried. Around 2000, Starbucks, which invested heavily in the Australian coffee market, finally lost to Colorado Coffee, which had more than 500 stores in Australia at that time. Starbucks had to launch the Australian market in disgrace.

It is reasonable for Starbucks to promote Flat White so much. Flat White actually originated from Australian milk coffee, so it is generally translated as Australian white coffee, referred to as Australian white coffee.
The coffee name Flat White did not begin to appear until the 1960s. The word Flat White appeared in a British film Danger by My Side in 1962. However, at that time, flat white was not the name of coffee, but used to express the quality of this cup of coffee, light and bad taste.
When the word Flat White was used to describe coffee products, it was in the 1980s. Interestingly, the origin of a cup of Flat White is very controversial. One is Australia, the other is New Zealand.
New Zealand: one said that Flat White appeared on a 1985 menu at the Capitol in Canberra, and that milk could not get rid of milk bubbles for seasonal reasons; another said that in 1989, a New Zealand barista named Frank Mlnnes used skimmed milk when making cappuccino, and because skimmed milk did not have enough fat to pass away the foam, it finally produced a cup of milk coffee with extremely thin milk foam, so it was named Flat White.

Australia: in the mid-1980s, the word Flat White appeared on the menu of an Australian cafe, and Flat White was mentioned in a magazine about cafes. Another Australian newspaper media sent an article translating lattes into Flat White in order to satirize the popular lattes at that time.
In the impression of many friends, Starbucks' fragrant white coffee and latte taste are very similar, except that the fragrant white coffee taste is thicker than the milk flavor, the bitter taste and the aftertaste of the coffee are more profound. In fact, the two are of the same origin, but later developed different factions. There are Italian communities in North Queensland, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia. It is the second place after Italy to have an espresso culture.
Whether it originated in Australia or New Zealand, in the final analysis, the drink Flat White originated in Oceania. Australian white coffee is not only the origin of controversial, even the production of Australian white coffee is also controversial. New Zealand friends prefer double espresso, while Australian compatriots prefer single espresso.
At this point, there may be friends who do not understand what espresso is. The word "espresso Ristretto" comes from restrict and narrow. It can be literally understood as espresso with a small amount of liquid within a limited time, derived from the basis of espresso. For coffee extracted with the same amount of powder, espresso takes less time to extract and less coffee liquid is extracted.

More directly, espresso is actually a high-strength, low-extract version of espresso. Because only the essence of the front part of the coffee is extracted, the flavor is more concentrated, the bitterness is less, and the taste is more full-bodied.
Australian White is a blend of tiny milk bubbles in one espresso or double Ristretto. To some extent, it is similar to the traditional 5-ounce cup (150mL) cappuccino or latte, so the proportion of coffee is higher, the milk foam is lighter and thinner, and the flavor of Espresso is more mellow with milk flavor at the same time.
With the same coffee made from milk foam, some friends who don't understand will wonder what's the difference between cappuccino, latte and Australian white coffee. By surfing the Internet, you can find the following picture that most intuitively expresses the difference between the three kinds of coffee. It can be distinguished by the ratio of coffee to milk and the thickness of milk bubbles.

Qianjie in the production of these three types of coffee, in order to allow friends to distinguish them, will use different sizes of cups. Lattes use 300 ml wide-mouth ceramic cups, cappuccino coffee uses 180 ml narrow-mouthed ceramic cups, and Australian white coffee uses 210 ml glasses.
Among the three, lattes use the largest proportion of milk, while Australian white coffee uses less milk. It can be seen from here that the latte has a stronger milk flavor, while the Australian white coffee has a stronger flavor. However, it is easier to distinguish the three from the thickness of the foam. The thickness of the cappuccino is the last, followed by the latte, while the Australian white coffee is the thinnest.
The steps for Qianjie Coffee to produce Australian-style white coffee are as follows:
Qianjie Coffee uses double espresso as the base when making Australian white coffee. Through the adjustment of parameters, Qianjie uses 20 grams of coffee powder to extract 40 grams of espresso, and the extraction time is about 28 seconds.

As Australian white coffee is characterized by strong coffee flavor, so the amount of milk is less, so pay attention to the amount of air injected when making milk foam. Qianjie suggests that at first let the milk rotate, then inject a little bit of air, and then enter the state of splashing. In addition, the milk foam of Australian white coffee is so thin that it is difficult to form a pattern when drawing flowers. So after fusion, it can be injected from the central fixed point to form a small dot, or pull a heart shape.
Qianjie Coffee shops use sunflowers to mix coffee beans when making Australian white coffee. The Italian beans are made of 70% Honduran sherry coffee beans and 30% sun Yega coffee beans. The varieties of Honduran coffee beans in this blend are Kaddura, Kaduai and Pacas, thanks to Shirley whisky barrel low temperature fermentation for 30 to 40 days, creating a strong wine flavor of Honduran coffee beans. The rich vanilla flavor of Shirley whisky also contributes to the unique flavor of Shirley whisky.

Such a unique style of coffee beans, of course, there are many ways to drink in the front street stores, among which there are sherry coffee beans on the hand-brewed coffee bean list in front street. Shirley coffee in the form of hand-brewed coffee also has a strong whisky flavor, vanilla and cream flavor, which is also worth tasting.
The Australian white coffee produced by Qianjie Coffee has a strong whisky aroma, with vanilla and cream flavor, and its aftertaste is like dark chocolate.
