Cong Gang Coffee Manor was set up by a main family. They have been growing it in an organic and safe way for more than three years. Last year, they contacted a lot of local people. Because fewer users considered drinking coffee, they never went online until they read their stories a few weeks ago. I was moved by their hardship, persistence and dedication to safe ingredients, so we think that even if few people buy it, we are willing to promote it for them. Let more people know that there are farmers who have been working silently and sticking to their conscience in Dashan, Yunnan.

It's not easy to stick to it, and it's worth letting more people know.

Introduction to soil, Water quality and Environment of Cong Gang Coffee Manor

My family has been farmers for generations, living in a village in the mountains of Yunnan, Cong Gang Village!

More than a hundred years ago, foreign missionaries not only brought the gospel of Christ into the mountains, but also brought in the first seed of coffee.

Until 1950, our township began to grow coffee on a large scale, and it is also the first coffee producing area in China. Due to the unique geographical environment and natural conditions, the coffee produced has excellent quality and unique flavor, and has won many gold medals on the international stage. Yunnan small-grain coffee is internationally recognized.

Unfortunately, in the later stage, Yunnan small-grain coffee was brought into a vicious circle by a business model that only focused on quantity rather than quality. The worse the quality, the lower the price. Many farmers are miserable and have no choice but to cut down coffee trees and plant other crops. I urgently hope to help the farmers in our village find a way out.

Until 2014, with the assistance of Reverend Luo from Taiwan, he introduced technology and equipment from Taiwan to professionally develop organic coffee. Experts pointed out that a good cup of coffee accounts for 60% of the raw materials, just like fresh and healthy ingredients can produce good dishes.

Every step of the process of planting, picking, drying and processing good coffee beans is very important, and from then on I decided to make organic coffee.

1. Full restoration of natural farming-organic cultivation: no pesticides, no chemical fertilizer, repeated fermentation of the pericarp of coffee, plus farm-raised cow dung and sheep manure mixed to fertilize the coffee, artificial weeding three times a year.

two。 Red Cherry Project: picking coffee when coffee is ripe can be regarded as a craftsman's work. It is necessary to separate the immature green fruit and the unripe yellow fruit to ensure that the coffee has enough sugar to increase the sweetness of the beans. If there is immature fruit, coffee will have a sour taste, as well as miscellaneous flavor.

So the red cherry plan is to pick all the ripe red fruit and not allow a single immature green fruit.

3. All the air drying is made of African scaffolding and ventilated from the ground. This is mainly to ensure that the coffee is evenly heated to avoid the impact of sundries on the ground, clean and hygienic we use several treatment methods, there are water washing treatment, honey treatment, sun treatment to show the flavor of coffee beans incisively and vividly.

Looking back on this journey, it is also very sad to think that the organic natural farming method for growing coffee has just been proposed. my father, who is nearly 60 years old, was the first to object that he thought it was unrealistic, that the cost of manual weeding was too high, and that fertilizing with organic fertilizer not only came slowly, but also led to a reduction in coffee production. but I firmly believe that organic coffee, healthy and delicious coffee will be recognized by more people in the future, this is the way out for farmers in the future.

In fact, as my father expected, grass without pesticides grows faster than coffee, the cost of manual weeding is really too high, and farm organic fertilizer comes so slowly that coffee lacks nutrients and even falls off before it is ripe!

There was almost no output in the first two years! There was no income, and later there was no money to hire workers to weed and prepare the land. Only my father rode his motorcycle and drove his mother to work in the coffee field every day, went out early and came back late every day, and ate lunch prepared from home in the mountains at noon.

The hot sun looked at the sweat-drenched figure of my parents, and I thought about giving up! Dad encouraged and said that since you have chosen, do not give up easily, farmers are not easy!

In the third year, the coffee began to bear a lot, ripe very well, and the soil under the coffee tree became soft and nutritious, so there will be a lot of small earthworms.

The first batch of coffee beans produced by our manor were exported to Taiwan to participate in some blind test competitions, got a good ranking, and successfully selected Dr. Wang selected series of National Taiwan University! We are now taking 41 farmers to develop organic coffee! I hope to get your approval.
