Monte Brisa means breeze mountain in Spanish, so it is called breeze manor. At 1900m above sea level, the farm is located in the western valley producing area of Costa Rica, which is adjacent to the Central Valley. The farm has a history of more than a hundred years, and with the hard work of several generations, there are various varieties of beans here. The current hostess and brother of the farm manage the high-altitude farm. As a school teacher, my son helps his family manage the things on the farm in his spare time. When I came to this farm, I saw a sieve with hand-held beans, which is not common in Central America. Because most of the machines and equipment in Costa Rica are so advanced that they no longer need to be selected by hand. The machines and equipment used by this family were later confirmed to be very advanced, so there is no doubt that the use of the selection table is to improve the quality. In order to process some micro-batches, the farm also has a lot of African shelves with lots of squares, with plastic sheeting to prevent moisture.
The process of discovering the orange striped iron pickup was also a bit of a surprise. With the farmer's car, we drove into the winding path of the manor and drove very slowly because we had to make way for the pickers, when we found that some coffee fruits near the road glowed unusually. Intuition tells us that it may be a different breed. After parking, I asked the farmer to get out of the car and found that it was textured fruit and showed a translucent orange glow in the sun. According to the farmer, the coffee trees in this land were replanted five years ago, and the seeds were also derived from the land. The land has been breeding with the seeds of the land for generations, so he doesn't know why this part of the coffee tree on the side of the road has mutated. These become dark or light orange fruits with strips of ripples. It is confirmed that the edge of the leaf is also a smooth edge line similar to the original tin card. Although there is no concrete conclusion, it can basically be determined to be a natural variant of the iron pickup. The number of these trees is not large, only about two packs of output. After tasting the fruit, we immediately decided to buy it, and it also reached a high score in the cup test, so the bean was able to come to China to meet with you, using the Semi Washed/ semi-washing method. It not only maintains its fruit tonality but also keeps its thickness.
