Lot No1 Franklin Adonis Madrid

The farm was founded by Mr. Esteban Madrid Chavez in 1978, when he actually bought land and started growing coffee. The farm is now owned and run by his son and grandson, who work on different plots, one of which belongs to Franklin. He works on the farm all year round, using manual weed control, shading regulation, and constantly collecting plague and pest control samples. He fertilized in granules in March and the second time in August, also using pulp as fertilizer. Because of his high altitude, the farm has no plague problem, but he is always careful to prevent it.

Because of too much water, he used only 10% shade on the farm, using fruit, but mainly fruit trees. He starts picking coffee in February and ends in May. He always gives a speech and encourages his pickers before the harvest begins. Most of the coffee is transported by pickers to cars far away. He uses a water-efficient wet mill to mechanically remove mucus, and Santa Barbara National Park provides water, which complies with all pollution regulations required by law.

Franklin dried the coffee on the terrace and screen. He believed that the key to his success was the continuous training of his workers and planting trees around the farm. His whole family was environmentally conscious and protected nature. They placed signs around the plantation to protect forests and water, as well as fauna. The price of the coffee crisis affected him and his family to reduce the manual labor of coffee production and farm activities.
