Lawe is not only a small country in southern Africa, but also a country in the interior of the sea. Many kinds of coffee are grown in the northern plateau, but the output is not large.

All kinds of coffee grown in Lawe are Arabica, and the quality has been maintained at a corresponding level. Compared with Ken, Coffee has a similar sweetness and flavor, while it is low in terms of sour taste. If you compare the acidity of Ken in terms of treble, the sour of Galavi feels like the bass and mid-bass.

Malawi has a coffee history of more than a hundred years. The colony (then called British Central Africa Protectorate) was introduced by the British in 1890s, but due to mismanagement, climate problems, and market saturation, Malawi coffee was not as successful as it was in Kenya. It was not until the founding of Malawi and the re-management and distribution of land that it gradually became feasible to produce quality coffee in Malawi.

International Fair Trade Organization (FLO) certification, purchased from Mzuzu Coffee Cooperative (Mzuzu Coffee Planters Cooperative Union), ensures that every small coffee farmer gets a reasonable income, and the allocation of Community Development Fund (Premium) enables cooperatives to build hospitals, bridges and other infrastructure to achieve community harmony.

Mzuzu coffee is produced by nearly 4000 small farmers in five areas of northern Malawi at an altitude of 1200 to 2900 meters.

Collected from 45 washing stations, although the coffee in this area has its own characteristics, the average cup test result is good Arabica bean quality, perfect aroma, moderate mellow taste, rich and complex, bottom chocolate sweetness, with outstanding fruit aromas and a citrus and slightly grapefruit finish. If you are looking for rich fruit chocolate and medium-thick taste, this is the coffee you are looking for.

This coffee comes from Mzuzu Coffee Planters Cooperative Union and was founded in 2007. Through this platform, farmers are free to communicate and share resources to produce special coffee. The Union can be divided into five (6) major cooperatives, growing different varieties in Misuku hill, near the west bank of Lake Malawi and the northern Tanzania border. More than 50% of the coffee is produced in 1700 to 2000 masl areas.
