Finca Chispita
According to the tradition of our ancestors, we are committed to the production of coffee. Fifty years ago, these lands were pastures for livestock, but my grandfather decided to switch to coffee and introduce Villa Sarchi to the farm. Because of him and my father, Mr. Manuel Barrantes, we were taught to work hard and dedicated. We like buyers from different countries to visit us very much; to find out for ourselves what they think of our coffee motivates us to work hard every day to provide the best quality.
The farm is called Chispita, which means "sparkling"; our youngest daughter Crystal showed our dog Spock around the farm. When we were on the farm, the dog found some ripe coffee beans on the ground and began to eat them. The buyers thought it was interesting, so they took the photos and videos to their country and showed them to others. That's why we called the farm Chispita from that day on.
This year we made a Kenia SL28 as a natural process, which is very new to us because we usually do honey treatment or washing treatment.
