Introduction of honey treatment microbatches in Qianjie-Uganda Hibi Falls treatment Station
This honey-treated Uganda is produced on the northern slope of the Elgon Mountains and is grown by small farmers near the Sipi Falls washing station. The steep rock face of the Elgon Mountains separates Kenya and Uganda. The microclimate here not only provides good coffee growth conditions, but also provides unique conditions for the Sipi Falls coffee processing plant. Sipi Falls is a local central washing plant that can handle freshly picked coffee berries and further dry them, providing more convenience and conditions for local coffee farmers.
Coffee farmers in this area are mostly small farmers and have the habit of family-style coffee processing because they feel it is more economical. Exporter Kawacom, who also owns the Sipi Falls processing plant, has long tried to let local farmers know that coffee processing plants can help them improve the quality of their coffee processing and save more time, thereby increasing their income. They encouraged local farmers to send their harvested coffee to processing plants for professional washing, fermentation and drying, and set up experimental breeding centers to cultivate higher quality coffee varieties.
