"I'm either at the cafe or on my way to the cafe." This famous sentence by Austrian writer Zweig comes to mind as it winds up the mountain road following the looming aroma of coffee.

The reporter and his party are not going to a cafe for a seat, but are slowly approaching the Blue Mountains, a famous coffee producer in the Caribbean island nation of Jamaica.

The Blue Mountains near the sea are located in the eastern part of the island of Jamaica. Whenever the weather is clear and the sun shines directly on the sea, the mountains there will reflect the blue light of the sea, hence the name Blue Mountain. The highest peak of the Blue Mountains is more than 2200 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak in the Caribbean and a famous tourist attraction.

Panshan road on both sides of lush vegetation, everywhere can be seen in the shape of bells of yellow flowers and milky calla lilies, different forms of tropical plants staggered growth. With the continuous progress, Blue Mountain slowly unveiled the light blue veil.

Rain Water is abundant in Blue Mountain all the year round, the air is fresh, cool and foggy. Large and small coffee plantations are distributed among them. The local guide said that as one of the most high-quality and expensive coffee varieties in the world, Blue Mountain Coffee is almost demanding on the growing environment. According to the regulations of the Jamaican government, only local coffee grown in a garden above 1800 meters above sea level is eligible to hang the blue label, known as Blue Mountain Coffee.

Walking into a coffee plantation halfway up the mountain, the faint aroma of roasted coffee beans floated in the face. Rising along the narrow stone steps covered by green trees, several exquisite houses with red roofs and white walls came into view. Although it was a holiday for plantation workers and the reporter had no chance to see the scene of picking coffee beans, the enthusiastic host took out his own coffee for everyone to taste, which was really refreshing.

The moist air permeated with the fragrance of grass, drank a mouthful of smooth and light blue mountain coffee, and the tiredness of visitors from afar was swept away. According to the plantation owner, the coffee trees here usually grow on rugged hillsides and are picked by skilled workers when they are mature, and then the beans are shelled, dried and roasted according to strict procedures. Only when the steps are properly handled can the acidity, bitterness and aroma of coffee beans be balanced and eventually become the world-famous Blue Mountain Coffee.

In this vast mountain shrouded in blue light, dark-skinned, smiling Jamaicans live a simple, happy, quiet life. Children do arithmetic with coffee bean counts, and women walk along the mountain road with baskets of fruit or coffee on top of their heads. Blue Mountain people enjoy working, brewing a pot of Blue Mountain Coffee in their spare time, and occasionally overlooking the Caribbean.

As the plantation owner said to the reporter at parting, Blue Mountain Coffee contains a healthy and restrained attitude towards life. The harmony between man and nature is the secret of the delicious Blue Mountain Coffee.
