Similar to Antigua, the Freihanes Plateau also has volcanic soil rich in pumice (pumice), extremely high elevations and active volcanoes. However, sufficient Rain Water, extremely high and changeable humidity, and a wider range of temperatures give the Freihanes plateau its own unique climate.
The Pacaya volcano, one of the three most active volcanoes in Guatemala, adds ash to the Freihanes plateau from time to time and provides important minerals for the soil. The producing area has plenty of sunshine during the dry season. Although it is cloudy and dewy in the early morning, the clouds and dew can be evaporated quickly, so the sun treatment is used in the Hanes plateau production area.
