Ice extract coffee maker
Grinding thickness of powder
I have heard some people say that the coffee powder of ice extract should be ground a little thicker than that of the French kettle, which sounds a little ambiguous. More specifically, the powder is ground to about the size of bread crumbs.
Of course, you can also adjust it according to your own preferences, and we also have two suggestions for this:
Don't believe it: the thicker the better (isn't it best not to grind? )
Adjust the extraction time according to the thickness of your own grinding powder.
Extraction time
As mentioned above, the extraction time depends on the grinding thickness of your coffee powder. In general, the finer the grinding, the shorter the extraction time, and the thicker the extraction time, the longer the extraction time, as when extracted with hot water.
Ice extraction usually takes 12-24 hours, and we find that 18 hours is best for most cases. It doesn't take so long to make iced coffee, as long as you try to control the dripping rate to one drop per second.
Extraction mode
We have to admit, it's a little biased here. When using the same beans and the same grinding thickness, we found that the ice droplets taste better than the ice extract. I personally think the ice drops taste smoother, cleaner and more fruity.
In addition, using ice droplets can save the final step of filtering the coffee liquid.
water
You don't have to use ice cubes or water close to 0 ℃, just try to keep the water temperature below 20 ℃.
Also, try to use filtered water to make the coffee taste better and more consistent.
In order to find the extraction method that suits you, you need to spend time constantly trying, summarizing and retesting, and the final result must be wonderful.
Be flexible. Just because you extract a good bean with hot water doesn't mean the ice extract will be the same. Finally, remember: the grinding thickness of the powder, the extraction time, the extraction method and the importance of water.
As long as you are patient and willing to keep trying, you can make a great cup of iced coffee.

The difference between deep roasting and light roasting of coffee
I think the debate between deep roasting and light roasting will last forever, because the choice of roasting degree of coffee marks the roaster's understanding of the flavor of coffee. Uncle Dou personally believes that deep roasting and light roasting do not need and should not be unified across the board. Roasters have a variety of understandings of coffee, even if they belong to the same shallow roasters.
