With the progress of science and technology, agricultural researchers have cultivated or introduced new varieties with resistance to rust and stable yield, which began to be popularized and planted in coffee growing areas throughout the country. Therefore, the coffee cultivated after the 1980s and the developed planting areas have never planted Tibica and Bobang, which are "old varieties" that do not cause rust, unstable production, and have no advantage in price. The original cultivation in Baoshan has also been replaced by a large number of new varieties. Tiebika and Bobang are called "old varieties" in the planting area. In recent years, with the increase of domestic coffee consumption, the output of Tibika and Bobang is less, and many foreigners have come to seek it, resulting in an increase in its value, which has attracted everyone's attention.

Now, with the exception of Baoshan City in Yunnan Province, all other coffee growing areas have been developed since the 1980s, so it is impossible to grow Tibica and Bobang. Apart from Baoshan City, some people say where he produces Tiebika, which is not a lie. Some people quote the price of one kilogram to less than 50 yuan and still claim to be AA beans to you, which is also a lie. Because of this price, you can't get it in Baoshan, the producing area of Tibica and Bobang.

Tibika and Bobang coffee are the main cultivated varieties in Baoshan since the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1951, and they are only planted in low-altitude areas below 1000 meters above sea level. They have won the gold medal internationally. Due to the low output of the world's coffee (tooth sales plus) Blue Mountain Coffee (with an annual output of about 900 tons), and because its planting industry is supported by the Japanese, about 90% of its production is sold to the Japanese market. The remaining 10% (about 90 tons) part of the national quintessence sold as teeth is consumed by the government as a gift and consumed by its own people, and some has flowed into Europe and the United States and other developed countries. In fact, in China, it is impossible to have Blue Mountain Coffee except for the finished products brought back from Japan. The so-called "Blue Mountain Coffee", which has been sold in the Chinese market and coffee bars, is actually impersonated by Tiebika and Bobang, the old varieties of coffee produced in Baoshan.

Tibika and Bobang coffee were once the main varieties in the coffee growing areas of Yunnan, China (only Baoshan had large-scale cultivation before 1980s), but they were gradually eliminated due to the following main reasons:

First, it is susceptible to rust. If the disease is not found and controlled in time, all the leaves will fall within 10 days, resulting in a sharp decrease in output or even no harvest.

Second, the size of the year is too obvious, the yield is high in the big year, the yield is very low in the small year, the yield is unstable, and the income of the grower is not guaranteed.

For a long time, despite the excellent quality of its cups, the selling price of raw beans is no different from that of other varieties.

Fourth, due to the characteristics of varieties, and basically planted in low-altitude areas, the particle size of raw beans is generally small, mostly in 13-16 mesh.
