When I was a child, I always had at least one composition entitled "my wish". Like this sweet little girl in her early twenties, she clearly caught her dream of becoming a teacher, but resolutely gave up becoming a barista. Some people may laugh at her, while others think she can't stand it, but she knows the gap between reality and dreams: "instead of working hard to hold on to your dreams, it's better to develop what you're interested in and devote yourself to another possibility."

Xiao Xiaotong (Rainbow), 22, has become a kindergarten teacher and realized her dream since she graduated with the Diploma in early Childhood Education. However, under the restrictions and framework of high-pressure education, she feels that children are not learning happily. "the so-called education is the hope of sharing knowledge with children to help them grow up, but in my year as a teacher, I have not seen that children really enjoy attending classes. As soon as it was time to write, all the children froze. Would it be all right to ask whether or not to write? Teachers can only force them with mischief and punishment. How can they have the courage to develop things they like in the future? "

In the face of pressure from students, parents and even her boss, she felt that this was not the educational job she wanted. Instead of struggling to survive, she would rather retire from the fire line and become a barista. "I didn't like coffee. I thought it was so bitter. I'd rather drink soda." But in recent years, when the barista's boyfriend constantly recommended her coffee's different brewing methods, different producing areas, different roasting degrees, different flavors, and so on, she gradually became interested in the coffee world. "I was surprised to find that the coffee was sweet, sour and bitter. I was so surprised that I wanted to discover more flavors." After that, she spent two years doing and learning in a friend's coffee shop, and finally succeeded in being qualified as a barista of the "European Fine Coffee Association".

When I was a barista, I was lucky to meet my partner in a joint venture and owned my own small coffee shop Cafe Royal Garden at a young age. "it's near Huazu. We want to have a quiet space so that everyone can have a cup of coffee after buying flowers, so the blending of our coffee is mainly floral, making everyone feel as if they are in a world of flowers." There are five kinds of individual coffee in the store every month, all of which come from foreign soybeans. Rainbow's boyfriend is the consultant for choosing coffee beans. A young couple pats up and cooperates with all kinds of light foods, becoming a slow-living oasis in the corner of the prince.

The shop has been open for about three months, and it seems to be a good start. in fact, she is still feeling the stones and crossing the river, but she does not regret giving up her well-paid job as a teacher. "she already earns 10,000 a month as a teacher, but a new barista may earn only 10,000. This is probably a difficult choice for most people in Hong Kong. I think the standard of success is not just how much money you can earn, nor is it for others to judge you, but for you to judge yourself. " She chose to be happy and didn't make more money, but she earned time to take care of the people around her. "my enthusiasm for education has not been extinguished. Now my dream is to open a Cafe for children to play on the one hand and coffee for parents on the other, such as the integration of playgrounds and cafes."
