Nansheng Coffee was founded by the late founder Jiang Zanxu in 1938 and passed on to his sons Jiang Zenghe and Jiang Cirui. Now it has been taken over by the third generation, Jiang Gongjie and Jiang Gong.
Jiang Zanxu, who came south from Xiamen, China, to Malaya to make a living, used to collect secondhand goods and stir-fried peanut sugar for a living. he was a complete layman in the coffee industry. With his usual business dealings with friends, Jiang Zanxu began to get in touch with coffee, and then opened grocery stores in black velvet Brazil and Yili in 1938, specializing in groceries and coffee, but only on a small scale.
It was not until 1952 that Jiang Zanxu's coffee business took off. After opening grocery stores in Dongjie Na and Horse Street, he moved to the existing location of Qianlu and officially became a business specializing in producing and selling coffee.
Operate in the way of speculation and sale
After moving into Qilu, Jiang Zanxu began to introduce machines and produce coffee in large quantities, and operated in a way that is now fried and sold, attracting many people in the neighborhood and in the state to come to buy coffee. Nansheng Coffee has also become one of the coffee brands in the inner streets of Malacca.
In 1970, Jiang Zanxu's sons Jiang Zenghe and Jiang Cirui began to take over, taking the coffee business created by their father to another peak. Nansheng Coffee now not only produces its own brand of coffee, but also produces coffee for other merchants.

Its three brands cater to different customer groups
The coffee produced by Nansheng Coffee is mainly black coffee and pure coffee. At present, there are three brands, including student card, striker card and Flying Fox brand, to meet the needs of different customer groups.
Both the student card and the pick-up card were launched during Jiang Zanxu's management period, and the student card was mainly based on the Chinese market, while the economic brand was mainly launched by the coffee shop industry, while the later Flying Fox card was mainly launched in the Malay market.
Jiang Zenghe explained that the reason why his father used students as his brand at that time was because his father did not go to school, but he longed to study, so he launched a student card, while Flying Fox used animals as a brand and logo to cater to the Malay market.
Nansheng Coffee has always been a student brand.
He said that the domestic coffee market is highly competitive, and there are at least 20 large and small coffee manufacturers in Jiazhou alone, so launching different brands of coffee is a market strategy, and different brands specialize in the market of different customer groups in order to get a piece of the huge coffee market.
