Who's Kalita? Names? Or?

In fact, it is the name of a company. Kalita has been making coffee utensils in a Japanese company since 1950. Kalita wave series of products are characterized by the beautiful wavy streamlined style of wave, and its hand funnel can be made of stainless steel, ceramic, or glass. There was a wave of waves at that time! (editor: this wavy filter paper is so beautiful! It must be very textured to make coffee in this kind of hand-brewed coffee pot.

Kalita is a kind of brewer.

▲ Kalita metal filter cup, isn't it beautiful?

▲ Kalita metal filter cup, inheriting the three-hole design of Kalita

The filter paper of ▲ and Kalita Wave reminds the editor of red turtle cake.

Kalita wave filter cup is a kind of hand-made coffee, which is very similar to Chemex and V60 hand-brewed coffee filter pot, all of which can make clean and refreshing coffee.

Although the shapes of the three are very similar, Kalita wave has different mechanisms

Different from the single filter hole of Hario V60 and Chemex, Kalita wave has three filter holes, which can filter out the moisture of the coffee fogging bed more effectively, avoid the change of coffee taste caused by soaking in the monopodium position, and make the moisture and temperature disperse uniformly.

Kalita Wave comes in two specifications, Kalita Wave185 and 155, respectively. The 185 filter cup is larger, suitable for more than 3 people, while 155 is suitable for people who only make one cup of coffee at a time.

Three elements of perfect coffee

1. the correct degree of grinding: with the Yang family flying horse knife, we recommend a grinding degree of 3.5-4, which is about the particle size of brown sugar.

2. Water temperature: we recommend that 90-95 degrees C, more than 95 degrees C will cause a large amount of fiber dissolution of coffee beans, resulting in poor taste smoothness and usually obvious astringency.

3. According to the concept of golden cup criterion, the ratio of powder to water is between 1:12 and 16 for most guests.

The right time = a good drink

When you use Kalita wave, you need to add a small amount of hot water every 30 seconds. The amount of water it requires depends on the stage of brewing coffee, and the overall completion time of brewing coffee should be within 3 minutes 45 seconds to 4 minutes 30 seconds (about the time of cup test), which will determine the taste of the coffee.

This brewing method uses 20g of coffee powder with 300cc water.

1. Steaming

Consider wetting the strainer before you start making coffee, which can effectively reduce other strange flavors of coffee. Soak the filter and add 40-60g of water and steam for about 30 seconds (until there is a break in the steam above). This can make the gas in the next seat of brewing coffee more evaporative.

2. Make and cook

Then slowly pour 150g of water for 20 seconds, wait for 1 minute and pour 50g of water for 20 seconds. Wait a minute and a half, then repeat for 20 seconds and pour 50g of water. For the last 2 minutes, make sure you have poured 360 g of water. When the coffee has been filtered, your delicious coffee will be finished!

Cooking skills of Kalita wave filter pot

The l Kalita wave filter pot is very safe and strong to use, you don't have to be afraid to pour hot water directly into the cold filter pot, and it can keep the heat continuously.

He only needs to wipe with water and cloth to keep the Kalita wave filter pot as new.

You can hold a little more water than you expected, which can be soaked in the strainer and preheated. All you have to do is let the water brew for a while before you start making coffee.
