The high altitude makes the coffee fruit richer
Guatemala is located in the Central American Isthmus, where many volcanoes form mountains and plateaus. It is the ninth largest producer of coffee beans in the world. There are eight main coffee producing areas, of which the northernmost Huehuetenango is a well-known and popular coffee producing area, and the famous Inkert Manor is also in this area, which has won many COE championships. Huehuetenango is located along the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes mountain range, which has the highest peak in Central America up to 4000 meters. The soil is not volcanic soil but sandy lime soil. The average annual temperature is 20-24 degrees. The soil is fertile and abundant with rainfall. There are dry hot winds from Mexico. The mountains are free from frost. The steep slopes and special valley terrain make each block have unique and variable microclimate. Due to the remote location of Huehuetenango production area, most coffee farmers are small farmers. In order to maintain the stability of product flavor and quality, we adopt a mixed harvest method, selecting some high-quality coffee harvested by small farmers and concentrating them for processing.
