In winter, plums are broken, a pot of siphon gold is brewed, and the sun is basked on the heater ~ siphon pot

If you want to create a good atmosphere for drinking coffee, the beautiful glass stopper will be a good choice, but the Belgian coffee pot using the same principle is the first place. It looked like experimental equipment, but it had an elegant and exquisite appearance like a handicraft. It was strange and curious. Just looking at it would make people's eyes light up and arouse high interest. How is coffee made? This is the cup and lid used to fill the coffee powder and extract the large amount.

The metal siphon has a conical rubber ring at one end that can be used to plug stainless steel pots to achieve a tight connection. On the other side, there is a removable filter head, which has been wrapped with a new filter cloth before use. (Note: At present, there are also some Belgian coffee pot styles that are filter cloth-free versions. The difference is that the filter head design is different, but the price is relatively higher.)

The special feature of the stainless steel pot is the mini tap near the bottom of the pot. It is really cute and special. The eye absorption is 100%. After extraction, turn around and serve coffee immediately. Interesting!

The top of the kettle is equipped with a bolt, which itself comes with a rubber washer. After tightening, the spout can be tightly sealed.

There is also an opening on the outer edge of the pot top, which is used to connect the socket of the metal siphon.

The base has a main bracket and balancer (lever). To the left of the balancer, a weighted sphere can be seen, which acts like a balance overall, but is limited in its design to allow only slight swings.

The main bracket itself also has the function of lifting, so it is quite convenient to move the whole.

The alcohol lamp on the right is different from the ordinary version of the kettle. It has a clever mechanism related to balance and weight. Its metal lid is normally closed and can only be opened by external support force.

Before using the Belgian coffee pot, some preparation actions are required, and this process is very visible and can also be regarded as a performance.

First, all the accessories are positioned, left bottle right pot, plug the metal siphon, this will allow a path between the two.

Step 2, make sure the mini tap is in the off position, adjust it 90 degrees. If it is not closed well, it will flow out while pouring water. This action must not be careless!

Step 3, turn the top bolt of the stainless steel kettle, fill it with hot water, about 8.5 to 9%, which is about 420 cc to 450 cc, and then tighten the bolt. (Note: Long-spout pots are suitable and attractive, but other containers are also acceptable)

The fourth step is to grind coffee beans, and the thickness can be moderately ground according to the stopper. This Hario MSCS-2TB, I was in the tightening, reversed back to the 5-cell position. (There is about 0.5 square gap between this 2TB and the bottom, so it can only be skipped because it cannot be aligned)

There is no special requirement for coffee beans, just choose what you like.

Step 5: Pour in about 35g of coffee powder, or more or less according to your preference.

Step 6: Gently press down on the counterbalance ball with your left hand, and the stainless steel kettle will rise and there will be a gap. At the same time, open the alcohol lamp cover with your right hand and stick it on the side of the kettle.

Step 7, after ignition, you don't have to start, just quietly enjoy the wonderful and interesting Belgian coffee pot coffee making process.

After about 2-3 minutes, a small amount of hot water will flow into the glass first, and the coffee powder will begin to soak. (Note: In order to take photos, so remove the cup lid, the correct way, should put on the lid)

The following is a high angle overlooking, this state will remain for some time, the water level will not rise temporarily.

After a few seconds, the stainless steel kettle began to boil like a small boiler, and then hot water could be seen rushing into the glass along the siphon. Unlike just now, there is now a continuous injection of hot water and the water level has risen significantly.

The coffee continues to move upward and is about to reach a subtle weight balance change point.

After about 30 seconds, all the hot water in the stainless steel kettle has flowed into the glass, and now the left side of the balancer becomes the heavier side, and the kettle becomes lighter and therefore raised.

Attention please! A wonderful thing was about to happen, for a gap appeared in the bottom of the pot, and the top lid of the alcohol lamp lost its support immediately. For a split second, gravity causes it to shut down and shut down.

The water level of the glass will remain unchanged at the high level for ten seconds, and the coffee will continue to be extracted. The photo demonstration is for observation only and requires neither stirring nor opening the lid.

After more than ten seconds, the temperature of the stainless steel pot decreased, forming a low pressure and causing a vacuum effect. Another interesting physical phenomenon appeared. The coffee liquid was all sucked into the stainless steel pot through the siphon!

At the bottom of the glass, only coffee grounds remain.

Step 8: Prepare the coffee cup and loosen the top bolt of the stainless steel pot to allow air to enter.

Step 9: Turn on the mini tap and the hot, fragrant coffee flows out slowly. What a wonderful experience! The atmosphere reached its highest point here, and the coffee was delicious before it even entered the mouth!

Although it looks complicated, Belgian coffee pots are actually easier to operate than corks because there are limited variables in brewing coffee and it is not easy to fail according to the procedure. Basically water and fire are fixed, can change, only coffee beans, thickness and powder amount, have the heart or can change some patterns.

Belgian coffee pot brewed coffee is weak, if necessary, you can repeat the extraction a second time. The method is that after the coffee liquid is sucked back into the stainless steel pot, the alcohol lamp is ignited and heated again, so that the extraction process will run a second time. Coffee extracted twice in succession has a strong and rich taste.

Not only coffee, tea can also be extracted using Belgian coffee pots, which is also full of fun.

After cooking the Belgian coffee pot clean, it is recommended to simply rinse with water, and then do not put coffee powder only in the stainless steel pot into hot water, and then the alcohol lamp ignition, so cycle once to help wash out the dirt. If you still want to use it the next day, you can also use the lazy method. After a simple rinse, soak the filter in hot boiled water and take it out after cooling. It will be more convenient.

If you want to entertain visiting relatives and friends who like coffee, bring out the Belgian coffee pot and have a coffee show, which will definitely make the host happy!
