The province of Micauca is located in the southwest of Colombia at an altitude of 1500, above Nari ñ o and adjacent to Huila, a well-known producing region. Although Cauca is one of the most popular producing areas of the COE Cup, it is not as well-known as the other two provinces mentioned above. Since 2014, there has been an auction like the Cauca Best Cup Cup, which is held by well-known American traders, local exporters and the Coffee Association of Colombia. In 2014, the first Coca Zhuoyue Cup received about 200 samples, while in 2015 it was more than twice as many. About 500 small farmers came to compete in the competition, and it was only in the second year that there was such a substantial improvement. It can be seen that the activity of the Coca Cup is indeed helpful, not only to increase the income of small farmers and improve their living conditions. It also makes them more willing to invest and work hard in coffee production to produce higher quality coffee.
After the organizers selected the top 30 from more than 500 samples, the last 12 were selected by the international jury cup, and on the last day of the event, raw bean merchants and bakers from all over the world participated in the Coca Cup to bid.
Generally speaking, Colombian farmers earn US $3 a pound for selling fine beans, but the list prices of the top three in the 2015 exam cup are 31.5 yuan, 20.4 yuan and 16 yuan per pound, several times more. Compared with their original sales income, the sales revenue of the entire Coca Zhuoyue Cup has exceeded 10000 US dollars, which is really a very amazing achievement!
Moriscio Xiaonong (Mauricio Mesa) of Fool Manor won the seventh place in the 2015 Cajun Cup. Morisio has been growing coffee for about four years, and his estate covers an area of about 8 hectares, with an average of about 6200 coffee trees per hectare. The harvest season of Fool Manor is from May to July every year, about once every 15 days. Moriscio uses a traditional peeling machine to remove the pulp, leave it for 17-18 hours to ferment, rinse with clean water for 5-6 times, and dry in the arched greenhouse (Parbolic Dryer) for 8-15 days. Morri Western European coffee reached the finals in 2014 and won seventh place in 2015. The high quality coffee is admirable.
