Kenyan coffee was originally planted in Kenya by French missionaries in 1892. After several improvements, SL28 and SL34 are now the two main varieties, while missionary bourbon is the original species of coffee, so it is called French Mission Varietal. In the process of planting, it avoids the improvement of scientific methods and retains the original flavor of bourbon.
The Harris family of Chania Estate has been growing coffee in the Thika region for more than 100 years and is well aware of the unique red volcanic soil here, coupled with the right coffee growing temperature and rainfall, these excellent growing conditions give Chania Manor the unique flavor of French missionaries.
