The beautiful city of Santa Clara is located on a high-altitude hilly slope, extending from 1500 meters above sea level to 2000 meters above sea level on Lake Attilan. Lake Attilan, which covers an area of 130.1 square kilometers, is the largest inland lake in Guatemala, formed by the crater left by the volcanic eruption.

Surrounded by three volcanoes, the soil in the Lake Attilan area is very rich due to the accumulation of volcanic ash over the years. The Lake Attilan area has a special microclimate; in the morning, dry cold air is brought from the highlands to Lake Attilan; in the afternoon, the hot and humid air crossing the lowlands from the sea brings abundant rainfall.

It is cultivated by the Freddy family, a small farmer in Lake Attila, who grows a variety of crops such as onions, tomatoes, beans and so on. Coffee is especially picked and selected by hand by Freddy family. Because the economy of harvesting is very small, the coffee harvested by the Freddy family is treated by the traditional excellent washing method in the washing plant on the banks of Lake Attilan. After 100% sun drying, make good use of sufficient sunshine time in the local microclimate.
