East Timor Maubesse water washed organic beans (100% organic, pure typica)
East Timor, located between Indonesia and Australia, was formerly a colony of Portugal. After Portugal left in the early 1970s, Indonesia invaded and bloodily persecuted the islanders, leading to the East Timorese people's pursuit of independence. After years of struggle, they finally elected their own president in 2002. East Timor should be the world's largest producer of organic coffee because chemicals and fertilizers have not been used in the past 25 years.
In the course of confrontation with Indonesia, the economic system of East Timor was persecuted, and the output of East Timorese coffee beans not only dropped from 45000 tons to 6000 tons, but also of poor quality. since 1994, with the assistance of traders, the European Union and the United States Foreign Aid Agency (USAID), they updated their equipment, adopted washing treatment, and planted better typica varieties. East Timor organic beans are famous for their high-quality coffee circles with good reputation.
This batch introduces 100% organic beans from Maubesse belonging to Cafe Cooperativa Timor (CCT) cooperatives and approved by the United States Department of Agriculture (Organic Food Production Act, referred to as OFPA), which requires the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to develop a common set of national standards and regulations for organic products so that consumers can identify organic products. All labelled "organic products" must be qualified state or private agencies under the supervision of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), such as OCIA, which is common in the coffee industry, and Skal-International agencies that are certified by CCT, are organic certification bodies and are approved by USDA, and are one of the organizations that can certify [organic coffee beans].
CCT is a small farmers' cooperative, planting Typica in Maubesse, and using full shade planting to avoid too long and strong sunshine. After harvest, the raw beans are carefully selected with exquisite water treatment. After the cup test, the aroma is raised and the taste should be in accordance with: sweet, medium to highly acidic with good body, creamy and an aromatic finish. And the appearance of beautiful beans, and after manual multi-channel screening and classification before export!
