Located in the Santa Rosa de Copan region of Honduras, Becamo SA is one of the most popular coffee exporters and state-of-the-art processing facilities in the Americas.
The company was founded by Emilio Medina in 1983 and became part of Nuemann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG) in 1989. Since then, it has had the most advanced processing facilities in Central America.
Founded in 1983, Becamo has been working for decades to help farmers like Juan Manuel grow the best coffee beans and climb the coffee ladder.
Juan Villatoro
Elmi Raglo
Juan Villatoro didn't start growing coffee like his brother and father. In the 1970s and early 1980s, he was raising cattle and growing corn. His father gave him very little coffee production, so he began to grow coffee. With the disappearance of the cattle industry, he worked in the coffee nursery and then devoted himself to coffee, buying other small-scale production.
Juan's wife Lesvia Martinez and his son Milton Village Mart í nez both help manage the farm. Over the years, they have faced many challenges, from the natural disaster that destroyed his wine cellar and washing plant in 1987 to the ongoing challenge of controlling drying. He is proud of his coffee, and he has a reason: Milagro is the most popular every year, with bright lime flavors, high quality layers and delicious fruit characteristics. His auctions include:
* El milagro parte baja
* El Cruzero
* Las Cuevas
* El Pino
Finca El Pino
Finca El Pino's boss, Juan Manuel Aguilar, is 29 years old. As a child, Juan saw her mother work day and night, maintaining the small cafe she inherited from her husband and providing food for Juan and his brothers and sisters.
Juan shared that when he watched her work hard, he wanted to be strong enough and determined to help his mother when he grew up. After school in the afternoon, Juan went to the farm, picked the coffee cherries left by the pickers on the lower branches, and learned how to handle coffee cherries on his mother's small coffee processing machine. Once he grew up, Juan took over the family farm and continued to manage it, bringing profits vital to buying food and providing education for his family.

Pour the harvested coffee fruit into a big trough, and the ripe and full fruit will sink to the bottom of the water and remove the floating beans. Put the whole coffee fruit with meat belt on an elevated bed to bask in the sun, turn irregularly and naturally dry to about 12% of the water content, which takes about two to four weeks. Finally, the peeling machine is used to remove the hard peel, pulp and sheep skin, and the raw beans appear.
