There are basically two types of Jamaican coffee farms in Jamaica:
One is a larger estate invested by several very wealthy families or foreign investors and centrally managed, and the resulting coffee is often sold to China or Japan.
The other, most Jamaican coffee, is grown by small farmers who own a small area. Because they do not have the ability to handle their own coffee sauce fruit, these small farmers sell coffee sauce fruit to major processing plants at relatively low prices, while the processing plants are doing raw bean processing and selling their own brand coffee.
The largest and best-known such processing plants include, for example, "Mavis Bank Coffee Factory" and "Jablum" or "Wallenford Coffee Company".
Radnor Manor, Coffee, Jamaica is a very special place, growing rich banana plants in the shade of trees on the unspoiled ancient ruins and steep hillsides.
While Jamaica is still a coffee powerhouse and maintains the name of the largest farm with an area of 640 acres, Radnor is one of the largest companies in Jamaica in history. Located in a vulnerable area of Hagley Gap St. Thomas, coffee is grown when landowners lease it to farmers. Hagley Gap is actually the closest mountain to the farm, only 11 kilometers from the top.
Coffee sauces from Radnor Manor in Jamaica are currently handled and exported by Jah B processing Plant, which is why the coffee barrel-certificate of origin and export is printed with "Jah B Coffee" instead of "Radnor".
