Luanda is located in the heart of the interior of Africa. Coffee was introduced by German missionaries in 1904. Since 1930, because coffee was the only income-earning crop for rural farmers, cultivation began to flourish. Whether it is Arabica harvested in March-June or Robusta in May-June, government encouragement is actually an order to produce low-quality, high-yield coffee. Even if poor quality helped the economy at the time, as it was one of the few crops that could earn cash, the policy of continuing to promote low-quality exports was bound to change with the global competition for coffee.

The Musasa Cooperative Cooperative (Musasha), whose 1815 members are distributed in the north-west on a mountain of 1,500 meters, are small farmers with less than 500 trees on an area of less than 1 hectare. They set up their own washing plant in 2003 to improve the chances of selling their crops to international buyers and get good prices. A number of members won the finals in the COE Coffee Competition in Luanda in 2008 and 2010 and 2011 respectively, and the income earned was mainly spent on children's education, health care and investment in community building.

Musasa Cooperative is a coffee farmers' organization cooperated by the Pearl Coffee Project. The purpose of the Pearl Coffee Project is to rebuild agricultural machinery in Rwanda, enhance production capacity, improve coffee quality, improve farmers' lives, and continuously produce high-quality coffee.

In 2000, we began to change the focus of production, starting with mass production to improve the "overall quality" and achieved good results in cup testing activities every year. The coffee of the Musasa Cooperative in Luanda depends on its ability to take advantage of its regional microclimate differences to produce quality coffee.
