KOPAKAKI DUTGERE CWS
Kopakaki has been growing coffee since 2007. The cooperative has 1184 members.
On average, there are almost 380 coffee trees per 0.15 hectares. Coffee fruits can be delivered to washing stations by farmers within walking distance, and cooperatives rent cars to help farmers when they need them. After arriving at the washing station, the coffee fruit is first removed from the pulp and dried and fermented for 2 days, then washed and soaked for 24 hours. On the erected ceiling, the endocarp is removed by hand, and the coffee beans are moved to the dry shelf.
The output of the cooperative increased from 12 tons in 2007 to more than 57 tons in 2014, but they still attach great importance to the quality of coffee and make growth plans to maintain consistent quality.
