The Konga Cooperative, founded in 2002, is located in a small area of Gedeo in the town of Yega Schiffe in southern Ethiopia. It is a member of the Yega Snow Farmers' Cooperative Alliance (YCFCU), which consists of about 2200 farmers. The cooperative has a planting area of 3000 hectares and an annual output of about 1860 tons. As the cooperative is close to the Konga River basin, Konga is used as the name of the cooperative. This cooperative does not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides in its coffee growing process, so it is certified as organic coffee and is an excellent member of the YCFCU Union.
