In the mid-19th century, Henri Nestie, founder of Nestle Nestl é, as a food technician, invented a kind of parenting dairy products. He added fructose and nutrients to milk powder and developed excellent parenting food at that time, but the output was very small. Nestl é is still mainly engaged in scientific research.

In 1865, a friend told Nestor that because the baby drank his milk powder, it had grown up healthily, changed the baby's habit of not drinking milk, and solved the difficulties for the mothers. After hearing the news, Nestor finally founded the parenting milk powder company in 1867, using his name Nestle as the brand name of his product and the Bird's Nest logo as its trademark. Because the English Nest has the same root as his name, it is translated as "Nestle" in Chinese. In fact, Nestle means "settle down comfortably" and "snuggle" in English, while the Nestle Nestle figure naturally reminds people of the scene of a loving mother nursing her baby. As a result, Nestle Nestle parenting milk powder has been selling well.

In 1905, Nestle Nestle parenting milk powder merged with another American-run food company, named Nestle Yingrui condensed Milk Company, and bought it for another Swiss company in 1949 and changed it to Nestle Foods. At the beginning of the 20th century, with the acquisition and establishment of enterprises all over the world, the company began to diversify its production and become the largest food manufacturer in the world. Its branches have set up more than 1200 factories in more than 20 countries, including the United States, Japan and Germany.

In 1990, Nestle Nestle's sales reached 33.3 billion US dollars, and its main products are instant coffee, condensed milk, milk powder, baby food, cheese, chocolate products, candy, instant tea and so on. Among them, Nestle coffee sales are the largest, mainly because the product quality is excellent, and the brand name makes consumers really feel "comfortable" and "snuggle" when drinking. In 1991, according to the results of a survey conducted by Lantong Company in the United States, Nestle Coffee was listed as one of the top 10 famous brands in the world, and its brand value was determined to be 11.549 billion US dollars in 1994.

As early as 1908, Nestle Nestl é opened its first sales office in China in Shanghai. Nestle Nestl é is one of the first foreign businessmen to enter China and has a firm commitment to China. In the early 1980s, Nestle Nestl é began talks with the Chinese government to invest in a factory in China and transfer its world-class know-how and rich expertise in nutrition and food processing to China.

In 1990, Nestle Nestl é opened its first joint venture factory in Chinese mainland, and has since built a number of factories. Nestle Nestl é has helped China save a lot of foreign exchange by using local raw materials to produce equally high-quality food locally instead of imported products. Nestle Nestl é makes 99 per cent of the products it sells on Chinese mainland.

Today, Nestle Nestl é has more than 443 factories in 81 countries on five continents, and all products are produced and sold by more than 200 departments under the leadership of headquarters. Nestle Nestl é derives 98 per cent of its sales from abroad and is known as the "most international multinational group".
