Vision.

Coffee has a pleasant feeling when it comes to the cup. Unfortunately, few coffee shops use a transparent cup to hold espresso without observing the oddities of espresso.

Everyone knows crema. Its color should be brown and yellow, it should not have a light spot, and it should be sticky enough to last for a period of time even if the sugar is sprinkled on it. But don't get lost in the perfect crema. Lack of foam, light tan or white foam, or a very thin layer of foam is an indicator of a poor quality espresso, but the presence of foam does not guarantee anything.

Aroma

First, exhale, put your nose close to the cup, then inhale slowly and deeply and let the fragrance slowly enter your nose. You can also fan your hand gently on the edge of the cup. Some elements are difficult to identify and need to go deep into the nostrils. Cupping your hand on the cup can only add the aroma of your hand and any combination that has been in contact with it. The length of this olfactory sample is important because some elements are difficult to identify and some need to be pulled into the nostrils to be detected. To understand espresso, you may need to do this over and over again.

The aroma of espresso should be profound, rich and complex. There should be no faint burning or chemical smell. If it smells like charred rubber, it's best to put it down and walk away, because it shows the use of cheap Robbins, actually putting it down and walking away.

How to taste

This is important because espresso is different from other coffees. For espresso all you have to do is take a gentle sip. Let the coffee flow gently from the front to the back of the tongue, then cover it as much as possible, then inhale gently through the mouth and swallow slowly.

Coffee should feel like melted butter in the mouth, heavy, thick, smooth, greasy, but all positive and exhilarating. It should have a weight, viscosity and fluidity. Its feeling is very different from that of water, which is in a bit of a hurry, but it should feel that it should stick around in your mouth for a while.

Taste

It tastes like coffee, but it's much more than that. It is very difficult to describe a person who has just come into contact with extra thick. When you taste espresso for the first time, you may expect it to have many different flavors until the flavor disappears. The smell will dance, from the front of the tongue to the back, and finally down the throat. Aftertaste
