Born in 1994, Liu Haohui, a native of Huangpu Town, graduated from a college majoring in food processing and testing at a technician college. His parents and colleagues were surprised to hear that he was going to learn baristas.
It turns out that Liu Haohui once went on a trip to Yunnan and drank a kind of sour but imported coffee, so he cancelled his trip for the next three days and concentrated on asking the barista for advice. After quitting his job from the Industry and Commerce Branch, he came to a training center in Guangzhou to sign up for a barista training course. This year's study made him realize that making coffee is a craft that requires a lot of knowledge. Then he worked in a coffee restaurant in Guangzhou for a year. In early 2015, when Liu Haohui returned to Huangpu Town to plan to open a coffee shop, his father asked him many times, "have you really learned kung fu?" Don't be self-righteous after learning a three-legged cat, it is to throw your parents' hard-earned money into the saltwater sea.
Liu Haohui is very confident in himself. He has carefully calculated his start-up project again and again, choosing the location of the store in an inconspicuous alley behind the local busy street. In December 2015, a coffee shop with an operating area of only more than 60 square meters and interior decoration with petty bourgeoisie atmosphere officially opened.
He believes that coffee shops are different from teahouses, and most people who like to drink coffee have a little taste of petty bourgeoisie, and those places with heavy traffic and noisy people simply cannot make them sit down and drink coffee at all. and choose the location of the store in a relatively quiet area, the rent pressure is much easier. In addition, from the beginning, he did not intend to rely on shopping citizens to support, he set up volunteer WeChat group, Mazda cyclists WeChat group, nutritious breakfast group and other WeChat groups. "I have these friends to come, and a total of four people in the shop are already very busy."
■ dream: to open a large restaurant to help vulnerable groups
What makes Liu Haohui's coffee shop different is that he not only offers a variety of coffee drinks and snacks, but also provides Western-style nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now that a year has passed, how does Liu Haohui feel about starting a business? There is a couplet affixed to the floor-to-ceiling glass wall of the coffee shop: everything is difficult at the beginning, but you are used to it, criticizing "coffee attractive"; there is also a couplet posted on the main hall wall of the coffee shop: efforts may not be successful, but efforts must be easy. "these two couplets posted before the Spring Festival are my feelings," he said frankly. I worked hard to do a good job in my products and services, and I did get a corresponding return.
The plainly dressed post-90s Liu Haohui does not smoke or drink, and is still walking on a men's motorcycle. He told reporters that he has joined the local volunteer team for several years and every year invites regular customers in the Wechat group to visit and help some of the local elderly, the weak and the disabled. In fact, he has had a dream since childhood: to open a large high-end restaurant and use the money he earns to help some socially vulnerable groups. When this coffee shop gets bigger, I will expand it into a high-grade coffee restaurant.
