Opening a coffee shop is nothing, but it can be regarded as a salon party of "horse racing". It's really a bit of a drag! Li Xinru, a junior graduate of the School of Architecture of Wuhan City Vocational and Technical College, is from Hong'an, a post-1995 generation.

Today, Li Xinru runs a business called Entrepreneurship Coffee 1904, which sells 300 cups of coffee a day at its peak. It is worth mentioning that many "horse racing" enthusiasts in Wuhan will bend their feet to his coffee shop after running a marathon and have a drink and a nap.

Coffee shop "undercover" to learn skills

Li Xinru's coffee shop is in the entrepreneurial incubation area of his school, 300 square meters, big enough and bright enough. For entrepreneurial students, the most important thing is rent-free.

Li Xinru said that he is a junior college student. When he was a sophomore, he found that students always go to Starbucks or other fast food restaurants for coffee. Why can't they open a coffee salon on campus? It not only provides students with cheap and high-quality coffee, but also allows people with common interests to meet and chat here.

Li Xinru is very calm. Rome was not built in a day, and starting a business did not happen overnight. Throughout her sophomore year, Li Xinru used weekends and winter and summer vacations to work as an intern in a famous coffee shop in three towns of Wuhan, whether she was paid or not. The important thing is to learn undercover skills.

Li Xinru said that he has been learning from teacher Lu Coffee and has made many young friends who like coffee. "the coffee tastes good, but it hurts my stomach if I drink too much." In the past, Li Xinru had to drink more than a dozen cups of coffee a day in order to taste the taste of different coffees. She drank too much and couldn't sleep all night. Later, he ordered himself a maximum of three cups a day.

Paying homage to the teacher to learn art for a whole year, Li Xinru met his coffee partner, younger brother Zhang Wenhua.

After returning from the army in 2015, Zhang Wenhua returned to the City Vocational and Technical College as a freshman. The two became friends after they met by the university student inspection team. In a casual conversation, Zhang Wenhua applauded Li Xinru's entrepreneurial idea-"Let's do it together!"

Zhang Wenhua took out his retirement fee, Li Xinru raised funds everywhere, and the two began a hard way to start a business.

Just as the school prepares to set up the Entrepreneurship College, policy support gives them great room to play, and teachers personally supervise and participate in the decoration design and construction of the storefront. A 300-square-meter cement house has become an American-style coffee shop.

On February 20, 2017, the coffee shop officially opened. Li Xinru said that he really did not expect that the 1904 coffee shop would be so good that it could sell 300 cups a day at its peak. "A Starbucks latte costs more than 30 yuan in a medium cup, while ours is only 12 yuan." The cheap price doesn't mean the quality has been discounted, said Wang Le, a classmate at the school. After drinking 1904 lattes, he really doesn't want to go to other coffee shops.

Focus on entrepreneurship and service

Li Xinru said that a cup of coffee, a book, three or five friends, can spend an afternoon. "I want to turn the 1904 coffee shop into a themed coffee salon."

Because I am a horse racing enthusiast, every time I run a marathon, I invite everyone to the store for a drink and chat for a long time. "there are more and more people running horses in Wuhan. We know some of the non-governmental organizations and teams of horse racing very well. sometimes after running horses, we will sit down in the store, talk to each other, have a cup of coffee and enjoy a slow life."

Li Xinru said that in addition to the theme of horse racing, he also held some start-up salon lectures in the coffee shop. On March 16, the fourth phase of start-up Wuhan and High-tech Star Green Camp was held in Li Xinru's "1904". "the interactive scene of the start-up salon is very active and the atmosphere is very good, which further strengthens our route of taking the theme salon."

Li Xinru's coffee was also affirmed by representatives of the British Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and foreign friends repeatedly liked it and gave a thumbs up.

Li Xinru said that he also has an idea. He wants to apply for a coffee grant and spend part of his profits every year to subsidize those students who are in need of help, so that students with excellent moral and academic qualifications can no longer worry about tuition fees, and that more students can stay in Wuhan and build Wuhan.
