Peter Luo Kuangcheng, who lives in Melbourne, Australia, was influenced by the local coffee culture and fell in love with coffee. With his part-time experience in an Australian coffee shop, he returned to Hong Kong in 2008 to set up a workshop specializing in coffee bean wholesale and acting as a consultant to provide advice to clients and help them manage their coffee shop business properly.

Peter said it initially received a response from customers (coffee shops) that customers liked their coffee and asked Peter if he would consider opening a store to reach out to customers who actually paid for coffee. As a result, he opened his first store in Quarry Bay five years ago and has so far opened three branches. He also set up courses to teach the public and professional baristas about coffee. He believes that as a member of the coffee industry in Hong Kong, he has the responsibility to educate and share with the public how to drink coffee and taste coffee. "We usually cost more than 30 or 40 yuan for a cup of coffee. I think members of the public should know how to call it a qualified and good cup of coffee. "
In addition to setting up coffee shops and offering courses, Peter personally went to coffee bean-producing areas such as Brazil and Colombia to contact local farmers and bring coffee beans back to Hong Kong. They will even go to Indonesia to purchase their coffee beans from a coffee farm set up by a group of single mothers, and plan to divide a piece of land to grow their own coffee beans.
Peter said frankly that the coffee culture in Hong Kong has developed rapidly in the past five years. From frothy coffee and fresh milk coffee to different types of boutique coffee now, people's awareness of coffee has indeed improved a lot, and he is proud to be a member of this industry. He said that it was up to Hong Kong experts to work together to promote this culture, share what is meant by fine coffee and how it tastes, and tell the public that coffee is not only a refreshing drink, but also can be enjoyed and drunk.
