The Congo bid batch is coming.

If you want to say that the most unforgettable beans have been measured recently, it is the Congo.

When you take the first sip of the cup, you immediately cheer up (not because the caffeine content is relatively high, but because the Congolese flavor is really too special and unique).

In addition to the strong aroma of BlackBerry, this bean itself has a very thick body, coupled with the use of Kono and Bonmac tapered filter cup when we test, which fully emphasizes its sense of layering.

His history is not small, but in the Taste of Harves regional tournament, beat many opponents to enter the final, and finally won the fourth batch!

Today, let the young player introduce the origin of Congo and the Taste of Harves competition.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo, located in central Africa, is the second largest country in Africa. There is a tropical rain forest climate in the north and a savanna climate in the south.

Congo's coffee is mainly grown around Lake Kiev (Kivu); Lake Kiev is a very good coffee-growing area, with many pristine forests along the coast, with an average annual temperature of about 19 degrees Celsius, a warm and humid climate, fertile land and a geographical environment more similar to that of neighboring countries producing outstanding Arabica species, such as Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania.

With its unique flavor, coffee grown in Congo has been favored by European and American roasters in recent years, and its production capacity has been increasing, rising to more than 9 million metric tons in 2016 (even Starbucks is actively investing).

Unfortunately, the international visibility of Congolese coffee beans is much less well-known than its diamonds and precious metals.

Mainly due to years of war, this jungle-densely populated coffee producing area has been beacon-raging over the past 20 years, with more than 5 million deaths and injuries conservatively estimated, making it difficult for foreign buyers to dig deep into this potential country.

Congo's unstable politics and corrupt regime also make this producing area with great potential for fine coffee still have a bright future to become a first-class coffee country in the world.

Especially when the demand for overseas coffee beans increases, overseas investors operating in the country often face the threat of kidnapping, extortion, forgery and even death.

(some people even call Congo the most dangerous coffee producing area in Africa, so it is difficult for us to get internal information on the producing areas.)

Through the competition held in Africa, we finally have the opportunity to introduce beans to Congo.

The Taste of Harves competition is organized by African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA), which is divided into regional competitions and African competitions. In the preliminaries, the batches with cup scores below 80 will be eliminated first, because according to SCA standards, it takes more than 80 points to be called boutique coffee, so those who can reach the finals are considered outstanding. In the competition in the Congo region, eight cup test scores exceeded 80 points in the regional final, and this batch is the fourth place in the regional tournament.

This is also the first time that we have introduced beans from Congo. We have tried several baking degrees and found that the medium-to-shallow baking of dense beans will reveal the tough and enthusiastic character of Congo in the cup without hiding.

The smell, like Rocker BlackBerry and blackcurrant aromas, instantly explodes into your nose, instantly waking up your taste buds. After the entrance, the rich body leads the rhythm like a bass player, continues to stir up your taste buds, matches the smoked black plum aroma, and explodes like an electric guitar from time to time, embellishing the character is too bright, too unforgettable, too strong!

Whether you rock on the outside, on the inside or on the outside, I believe this cup of rock coffee will definitely party with you!

If you only want to taste fresh, you can consider half a pound of Congo, which will give you endless aftertaste.
