Sumatra Blue Lake Mantenin

Lake Lake Toba is the largest volcanic lake in the world. It is 100km long, 30km wide and 505m deep. Because of its beautiful scenery and unpolluted scenery, the whole lake is beautiful blue, also known as Blue Lake. The main ethnic group growing coffee around Lake Toba is the Batak, hence the name.

The hinterland of Lake Toba is very large, and Blue Batak is mainly supplied by thousands of small farmers around the Lindong producing area (Lingtong). This area is about 1550 ~ 1650 meters above sea level, the terrain is gentle, most of the planting environment has shade to maintain humidity and increase soil fertility, medium soil quality is rich in organic matter.

The traditional Batak wet-hulled method, known as Giling Basah by local people, is a unique semi-washing method for Indonesian coffee beans. When coffee cherries turn red and ripe, they are artificially harvested and peeled, and the wet pods are placed in a plastic bag for 10-12 hours to ferment, and then the pectin, floating matter and shell are removed manually.
