Geisha coffee grown by the father of summer in Panama! The output is very small!
Don Pachi Manor was a pioneer in the introduction of the Geisha variety from Panama, which originated in the Gesha mountain village of Kaffa province in Ethiopia. In 1963, the founder of the manor, Don Pachi Serracin, brought it back to Panama at CATIE, the agricultural scientific research station of the world's largest coffee variety and variety, because geisha was resistant to two kinds of rust (coffee tree pathogen). Therefore, it is also distributed to other manors for planting (including the Emerald Manor). Geisha's production is very low, the economic benefit is very poor, at first may be unaccustomed to soil and water, coffee production is very low, reducing the willingness of coffee farmers to grow, is not popular in Panama only mixed with other coffee beans to sell.
After that, some kabuki trees can be found in each manor, even as a windbreak in the coffee garden. Until Daniel Peterson of Emerald Manor accidentally found a "geisha" coffee tree in his coffee estate, he became popular in 2004 and won the championship for four years in a row.
At present, Panama is the most famous country in the world for producing "geisha" coffee, among which La Esmeralda and Don pachi estates are the most famous.
Located in Boquete, Panama's most famous boutique producing area, Don Pachi Manor is located on the east side of Bar ú volcano, blowing sea breezes from the Pacific and Atlantic coasts almost all the year round, and the mountain villages are shrouded in clouds, slowing down the ripening rate of the fruit and creating an excellent balanced taste and fresh acidity of the coffee. Every year, the whole manor is filled with a fresh aroma like jasmine, waiting for flowers to bear fruit, hand-picked mature coffee cherries, precision equipment to remove the pericarp mucosa, and finally uniform sunlight to reduce the moisture content of pods. The manor insists on doing its best at every step, producing only the best coffee, just to express its gratitude to nature. Don Pachi Serracin's two sons, Mario and Francisco, also play an important role in promoting the cultivation of Geisha coffee in Panama. Mario is an agronomic expert on Geisha varieties, while Francisco Serracin introduced Geisha to the Panamanian cup competition. The unknown varieties have come to the new land, the suitable local local conditions and the efforts of this group of enthusiastic and outstanding producers have thoroughly carried forward the excellent flavor of Geisha, which is different from ordinary coffee. Panama Geisha is rated as one of the best coffee in the world, so every May BOP (Best of Panama) competition has become a big event in the coffee industry. People look forward to this wonderful coffee. Global buyers bid online at the same time day and night, just to win the chance to taste Geisha.
