Latin America is the region with the largest and best coffee beans in the world. Brazil is the first in production, while Colombia is in the first place in quality.
Colombia was once famous for "platinum" and "black gold". Of course, after the drug lord was killed, platinum is not as rampant as it used to be. "Black Gold" is still famous in the world.
Colombian Coffee Etudes (author: Wolf)
If you are a coffee fan, you must have heard of Colombian coffee beans. Four to five cities throughout Colombia are famous for producing coffee, but my time is limited and I want to focus on the operation of coffee, so I only chose Salento. The best option is to stay in the coffee garden and learn how a cup of coffee is made.
Salento is a small town about 1600 meters above sea level, standing at the top of the mountain. But around the town is countless coffee estates, a wide range, this height and climate is just suitable for coffee growth. According to a rough estimate, there are about 300000 coffee plantations in Colombia, most of which are small and medium-sized farms. Colombia is famous for its coffee in the world, but in fact it is only the fourth largest coffee producer in the world (Brazil, accounting for one-third of the world's output, Vietnam and Indonesia), but Colombia is among the best in terms of quality.
I drink a lot of coffee, but I only know a thing or two about how to make a cup of coffee. So I went to a small farm in Salento for a week to learn about coffee and enjoy a quiet environment. Colombian coffee is produced all year round, but the harvest season is usually in the rainy season from October to November and from April to May, while coffee grows best at 1200-1600 meters (alpine coffee above 1600 meters). It takes about 36 months from planting to roasting coffee beans. Planting saplings-growing in soil-harvesting-peeling-desalination-classification-sun-drying-stir-fried beans Each program has a direct impact on the quality of coffee.
There are generally two kinds of coffee produced in Colombia, Arabica Coffee and Colombian Coffee, which are red and yellow beans, respectively, but there is no difference in coffee products because they are mostly Blend (mixed coffee). But if you want to share, Arabica coffee is strong, Colombian coffee is clearer.
The coffee garden usually produces only dried beans (Green Bean), while the baked part is done in imported countries. Why? There are two reasons: first, the shelf life of fried coffee beans will be much shorter and the flavor will flow away; second, different countries have different baking methods, including Northern Europe, Italy, Spain and Asia, so to match the national production of different tastes.
What kind of coffee is good to drink? it differs from man to man.
Expensive does not mean good, different methods will have different tastes.
The knowledge of coffee has increased, and you can find a cup of coffee that suits you better.
