If home drinkers use siphon pots and alcohol lamps to cook coffee, they will get not only the formal beauty of the cooking process and the taste beauty of cooking coffee, but also the enjoyment of both to the top level, and all you need to do is to be more patient and careful.

The siphon pot is divided into an upper seat with a long neck tube and a round lower seat, both of which are made of glass; and a cloth filter board in the middle. The filter plate is a metal mesh plate wrapped in filter cloth, which is connected with a spring hook and an iron bead string. when in use, the filter plate should be placed at the bottom of the upper pot, and the spring should be lowered into the neck tube, and the iron hook should be elongated to hook the end of the neck tube. When brewing coffee, hot water is placed in the lower glass pot, and the upper glass pot is first stuck in the lower seat with a neck tube down, and then put in the coffee powder.

The cooking principle is to use the alcohol lamp or gas stove as the source of fire, heated to the boil of the kettle, at this time the expanded steam will force the hot water to rise along the iron bead string, diffuse the filter cloth into the upper seat, soak the coffee powder and begin to brew, wait for 50: 60 seconds, you can turn off the fire and stop heating, at this time the brewed coffee will flow back to the lower pot with reduced internal pressure after cooling. Gently remove the upper seat, pour out the coffee and drink it.

Although the firepower of using an alcohol lamp is weaker than that of a gas stove and takes a long time, when the lower pot is boiled with an alcohol lamp, the hot water temperature of the upper pot is exactly 90-95 degrees Celsius, which is the most suitable temperature for brewing coffee.

In order to obtain the excellent heating temperature of the alcohol lamp and avoid taking a long time, it is recommended that you boil the water on the gas stove until it is near boiling, and then inject it into the next pot.

The amount of water injected can be measured directly in a cup. A full cup of water happens to be eight-tenths full of coffee after cooking.

If the upper seat is put in the lower kettle when the water temperature is insufficient, the hot water will still rise slowly due to the steam pressure, but the hot water entering the upper seat is not heated enough and the temperature is uneven. Therefore, we suggest that we wait until we see a large bubble rising from the bottom of the lower pot, indicating that the temperature is close to boiling, before putting the upper seat into the lower pot. While waiting for the next pot of hot water to almost all rise to the upper pot and reach a stable temperature, start grinding the beans and pour other hot water into the drinking cup to warm the cup.

The reason for waiting for the hot water to spread into the pot and then put the coffee powder into the coffee powder is to prevent the coffee powder from being overheated and destroying the taste while waiting for the water temperature to rise.

The coffee brewing time is slightly proportional to the thickness of the coffee powder; as it takes 50 to 60 seconds to cook the coffee in a siphon pot, we recommend that you use a medium to gravel grinding scale.

To ensure that the coffee powder is fully mixed with hot water and extracted evenly, you need to use a stirring spoon. However, in order not to destroy the coffee extraction process, it is recommended that you gently stir several times in the way of a vertical cross along the direction of the current.

Depending on the variety of coffee beans, the cooking time varies slightly from 50 to 60 seconds. After cooking, extinguish the source of fire and wrap the pot with a dry but cold towel cloth, in order to shorten the cooling time of the next pot and accelerate the decline rate of coffee. Reduce the chance of coffee being continuously soaked in an upper pot that is not warm enough to produce sour taste.

Keep careful gestures and attitude until cleaning utensils, because both upper and lower pots are curved glass products, and even minor scratches caused by coarse vegetable cloth may cause rupture the next time you use heating. If possible, it is best to rinse gently with neutral detergent and hot water to wash away the residual oil from the coffee, and it is not easy to damage the residual detergent. The filter cloth on the filter board should not only be replaced regularly, but also be washed with hot water after each use to rinse the coffee fat as much as possible. However, due to the repeated use of the filter board, there is still some residual coffee fat, so the dried filter board will have some flavor, we suggest that the filter board should be soaked in cold water.
