Of course, it is customary to send a siphon coffee tutorial video:

If you want to create a beautiful coffee atmosphere, the beautiful glass siphon pot will be a good choice, but the Belgian coffee pot using the same principle is the first place. Just like the structure of experimental equipment, it has the elegant and exquisite appearance of handicrafts, which makes people strange and curious. Just looking at it makes people's eyes bright and arouses a high degree of interest. How does it make coffee?

This is the glass and lid used to fill the coffee powder and extract the coffee powder.

There is a conical rubber ring at one end of the metal siphon, which can be used to plug the stainless steel pot to achieve a tight connection. On the other side, there is a detachable filter head, which has been wrapped with a new filter cloth before use. (note: at present, some Belgian coffee pots are made of filter-free cloth. The difference is that the design of the filter head is different, but the price is much higher.)

What is special about the stainless steel pot is the mini faucet near the bottom of the pot. It is really lovely and special, with 100% eye absorption. It's interesting that coffee can be served immediately after the extraction is finished.

The top of the kettle is equipped with a bolt, which is equipped with a rubber washer. After tightening, the spout of the kettle can be tightly sealed.

There is another opening on the outer edge of the top of the pot, which is used to connect the metal siphon socket.

There is a main bracket and a balancer (lever) on the base. A counterweight sphere can be seen on the left side of the balancer, which acts as a whole like a balance, but its design is limited to allow only a slight swing.

The main bracket itself also has the function of lifting handle, so it is convenient to move the whole thing as soon as it is mentioned.

The alcohol lamp on the right is different from the general plug kettle version, there is an ingenious mechanism related to balance and weight, and its metal cover is normally closed and can only be opened by external support.

Before using the Belgian coffee pot, you need some preparatory movements, which is very interesting and can be regarded as a performance.

The first step is to position all the accessories, the left bottle and the right pot, and plug the metal siphon, which will allow a passage between the two.

The second step is to make sure that the mini faucet is in the off position and can be adjusted to reverse 90 degrees. If it is not turned off properly, it will flow out while pouring water later, this action must be careful!

The third step is to turn the top bolt of the stainless steel kettle and fill it with hot water, about 8.5 to 90%, which is equivalent to 420 cc to 450 cc, then tighten the bolt. (note: the long-nosed pot is suitable and beautiful, but other containers can also be used.)

The fourth step is to grind the coffee beans and grind the coffee beans according to the moderate grinding of the stopper. This Hario MSCS-2TB, after being tightened, I reversed to the position of 5 frames. (this 2TB has a gap of about half a space in the end, but it can only be skipped because it cannot be aligned.)

There is no special request for coffee beans, just choose what you like.

Fifth, pour in about 35g coffee powder, which can be slightly increased or decreased according to your preference.

In the sixth step, the left hand gently presses the counterweight sphere, and the stainless steel kettle will rise and appear a gap. At the same time, lift the alcohol lamp cover with your right hand and get stuck on the edge of the kettle.

In the seventh step, you don't have to do anything after lighting the fire, just quietly enjoy the wonderful and interesting coffee-making process of the Belgian coffee pot.

After about 2-3 minutes, a small amount of hot water will flow into the glass first, and the coffee powder will begin to soak. (note: in order to take pictures, so remove the lid of the cup, the correct practice, should be put on the lid)

The following is a high-angle view, this state will be maintained for some time, the water level will not rise for the time being.

After tens of seconds, the water in the stainless steel pot began to boil like a small boiler, and then hot water could be seen rushing into the glass along the siphon. Unlike just now, a large amount of hot water has been continuously injected and the water level has risen significantly.

The coffee liquid continues to move up, reaching a delicate point of change in weight balance.

About 30 seconds later, all the hot water in the stainless steel pot had flowed into the glass, and now the left side of the balancer became heavier, and the kettle became lighter, so it was raised.

Attention please! Something wonderful was about to happen, because there was a gap in the bottom of the kettle, and the top cover of the alcohol lamp immediately lost its support. In an instant, gravity makes it turn off automatically and turn off at the same time.

The water level of the glass will remain unchanged for more than ten seconds, and the coffee will continue to be extracted. The photo demonstration is for observation only. There is no need to stir or open the lid in the process.

After more than ten seconds, the temperature of the stainless steel pot dropped, forming a low pressure and causing a vacuum effect. Another interesting physical phenomenon appeared. The coffee liquid was all sucked into the stainless steel pot through the siphon.

At the bottom of the glass, only coffee grounds are left.

Step 8, please prepare the coffee cup and loosen the top bolt of the stainless steel pot to let the air in.

Step 9, turn on the mini faucet and the hot and fragrant coffee flows out slowly. what a wonderful experience! The atmosphere reached its peak here, and the coffee tasted good before it was even tasted.

Although the structure looks complex, the Belgian coffee pot is actually easier to operate than the plug pot, because the variability of coffee brewing is limited, and it is not easy to fail to follow the procedure. Basically, water and fire are fixed and can be changed. only coffee beans, thickness and powder can be changed.

The coffee brewed from the Belgian coffee pot is relatively light, so you can extract it again if necessary. The way is, when the coffee liquid is sucked back into the stainless steel pot, heat the alcohol lamp on fire again, so that you can run the second extraction process. The coffee extracted twice in a row has a strong and rich flavor.

Not only coffee, but also scented tea can be extracted from a Belgian coffee pot, which is also fun.

After cooking the siphon pot, it is recommended to simply rinse it with clean water, then pour hot water into the stainless steel pot without coffee powder, and then ignite the alcohol lamp. This cycle will help to wash out the dirt. If you want to use it the next day, you can also use the lazybones method. After simply washing, soak the filter in hot water and take it out after cooling, which will be easier.

If you want to entertain visiting relatives and friends who like to drink coffee, move out of the Belgian coffee pot and have a coffee show.
