Costa Rican coffee has a history of more than 200 years. It is not only an important basis for the country's economy and people's livelihood, but also an indispensable role in the global coffee history. In the past decade, Costa Rican coffee has become popular all over the world as a micro-processing farm. In this small Central American country, because of its special geographical environment, it has created a variety of boutique coffee with different flavors. The farmers here have a sound working environment and production conditions, democratic and peaceful national conditions, strict labor laws, and an appropriate health care system. They are the first country in Central America that has no army at all. It is also the seat of the United Nations University for Peace.
The seven main coffee producing areas in Costa Rica are distributed from northwest to southeast along with the inland central plateau. Costa Rican volcanic terrain with fertile volcanic ash, mild and suitable temperature, and stable and abundant rainfall is one of the reasons why coffee has become one of the main agricultural products in Costa Rica.
As the coffee industry in Costa Rica began to develop since the middle of the 18th century, it was the first country where coffee was first introduced into Central America and has a long history, so the coffee organization has a complete system from production to marketing. In terms of quality and quantity, Costa Rican coffee has always been recognized by the world, and has been rated as the world-class high-quality coffee.
Finca La Guaca is located in the beautiful Branca producing area. Its name "Treasure" is said to have been buried by the local aborigines a long time ago, but has not yet been found, so it is named after it, with a touch of mystery and cultural significance connected to the ground. The estate, owned by the Mr. R é gulo family, began to grow coffee 26 years ago and is now managed by the owner Mr. R é gulo and his wife Isabel with four children, Ricardo, Mario and Esteban,Luis, and has its own "Rivas" micro-processing plant.
