If you have seen "Late Night Canteen," you should be impressed by the warm scene where guests surround each other and chefs chat with guests while cooking in the middle. Espresso Club feels like a late night cafeteria when you enter, except they only sell coffee. Open from 2 p.m. to the wee hours, the boss said the bar was usually packed at night.
We ordered (probably the best in Guangzhou) ice drops, espresso, and flat white, and we were not disappointed with either! I think every cafe should have its own story. From the coffee certificates on the wall, it can be seen that the owner is a technical coffee maker. The warmest thing about a cafe is its human touch. The owner is a very generous person. We sat down to drink coffee and heard the story of Espresso Club.
Like many small cafes, operating a coffee shop in Guangzhou often faces several questions from customers, that is, when customers sit down, they ask "Is there any iced black tea" or coffee for 20 yuan. Customers will think "Pearl milk tea is only a dozen yuan. Why is a cup of coffee so expensive"...
At the beginning, there were all kinds of drinks and even cooking meals. Later, the boss felt that "if you do everything in order to survive, you can't do anything well", so he decided to focus on making coffee, studying while doing it, constantly studying and verifying, and finally baking beans by himself. As he said,"in the learning stage, every time you bake, you burn money, and you're shocked every time."
If you take a road, it is necessary to study the spirit of the end, two years of persistence, so that Espresso Club has enjoyed fame in Guangzhou coffee industry. I am also one of the guests who come to admire the name. A cup of coffee can retain the heart of a new customer at the first contact, which also proves the skill of a barista.

My comment: If you want to make money, coffee shops need to be mass-produced like Starbucks, but mass-produced coffee has no temperature, and we don't know the barista behind it. Every barista has his understanding of coffee. As Miss D said, the temperature of the day, the roasting of beans, etc., many details determine the production of each cup of coffee. A good cup of coffee is definitely not programmed and mass-produced. So Starbucks is afraid to set foot in the Italian market, so rather than saying that we want to drink a good cup of coffee, it is better to say that we drink a cup of coffee behind the craft of the barista, his understanding of coffee and sifting-he/she is the coffee fans to look for. I think people who really love coffee will understand this kind of "one-on-one customization" manual temperature, they will not pursue big stores, chain stores, because only small stores can give customers this kind of intentional temperature.
