Pressure swing extraction Super espresso Machine (SLAYER ESPRESSO MACHINE) is a new espresso machine launched by a company of the same name in Seattle in the United States in early 2008.

Birthplace of Slayer: Seattle

Driven by a desire for higher quality espresso, Prefontaine came to Seattle and founded Slayer to build the ultimate espresso machine made in the United States.

Slayer's founder and CEO, Prefontaine, whose father was the owner of a baking company, Jason Prefotaine, has been familiar with coffee beans since he was a child. Eventually, Prefontaine followed his father's career, becoming an importer, seller and service provider of espresso machines, and founded his own roaster to learn and learn everything about coffee.

The birth of Slayer

With the more in-depth exploration of the coffee world, he feels more and more that the existing coffee machine can not fully show all the taste characteristics of coffee. In the process of repairing the coffee machine, he found that the design of the existing coffee machine was not reasonable, some parts were too close, some were too easily damaged, and he wanted to change all that.

In his view, the only purpose of designing and experimenting with Slayer is: can I make coffee better?

In 2007, Prefontaine met an Italian who made an old-fashioned press-bar coffee machine, and Prefontaine was obsessed with the texture of the coffee made from that machine.

Back at Slayer, he borrowed the idea of the old pressure bar coffee machine and tried to use a new technology to make the pressure of the coffee machine more controllable and more accurate during extraction by manual pressure.

At the same time, Prefontaine also noticed that the coffee he baked tastes better when used to brew coffee by hand, because the coffee is pre-brewed and the coffee powder fully releases carbon dioxide, which makes the coffee bitter. If his coffee machine can also be pre-brewed before extraction, then the coffee will undoubtedly become sweeter, while extracting more oil and reducing the bitterness of the coffee.

The pursuit of the concept of manual pressurization gave birth to their patented technology-flow control system. When designing a prototype, Prefontaine told his team not to be afraid of high costs and costs. "I want customers to taste coffee with their eyes first." He said. Nine months later, he saw the Frankenstein coffee machine for the first time.

Prefontaine himself debugged and brewed a cup of coffee. After tasting it, his hair stood on end. "I had to go out and calm myself down. I'm shaking all over. When I got back to the house, I told my team, 'you won't believe what I just tasted!' " The cup of coffee was sweet and soft, perfect interpretation of what he was after.

In 2009, this hand-made coffee machine, made of stainless steel and copper, with hand-carved wooden handles, top heating parts, water pumps and all the highest quality parts, was officially launched.

Slayer was born. The internal design of the coffee machine is simple and can be clear to the user at a glance.

"you can see every part with the naked eye, and we pay attention to every detail."

He said, "I have repaired the coffee machine, our high-quality parts will not be damaged by the high temperature, we use the highest quality backsuction valve." The shape of the coffee machine is unforgettable and its design comes from the Marantz tuned flywheel used by the father I saw in my childhood.

In 2015, the company launched a low-end version of the single-headed home coffee maker, with all configurations, colors and materials customizable.

A year later, all the products were officially put into production and sale, and Prefontaine was ready for the next challenge: getting rid of the milk perfectly. The steam bars of most coffee machines emit a small amount of water, diluting the milk. Prefontaine wants to create perfectly dry steam to make sure the water doesn't get into the milk.

After repeated experiments, Prefontaine has been successful, and Slayer's dry steam ensures the highest quality of the milk, thus setting off the full taste characteristics of coffee. This technology is also suitable for all milk substitutes such as soy milk, almond milk and oat milk.

In 16 years, Slayer introduced Slayer Steam. The core technology of Steam is the patented design steam rod, which is a built-in superheater that can convert "saturated" steam into invisible steam. By introducing less liquid water than traditional steam systems, Steam's steam bars can help users achieve higher levels of lattes and cappuccinos.

Steam, which can be heated to temperatures of 162 degrees Celsius or above, can affect milk at the molecular level, converting sugars and proteins into more complex molecular chains formed through caramelization and Merad reactions.

In addition to the central steam boiler, both steam rods are equipped with independent sprayers. The temperature and flow rate of the steam bar can be set for each different kind of milk through the dashboard, and two different modes have been preset in the system.

In 18 years, Slayer launched Steam Box Set, which can help users make espresso more efficiently. Slayer LP has its own controllable pre-brewing system, and each head group can set 2 sets of parameters. Steam EP comes with a ration button to help improve service efficiency.

Coffee machine for baristas

Like a driver's love for a sports car

Why should I work so hard, because the Slayer I like is very expensive!

There is no love, only love.

The less love you get, the more you want it.

That's why you have to work hard!
