There are seven coffee producers in Costa rica, among which Tarazu, the central valley and the western valley are the three best-known and best-quality producing areas. West valley, the western valley, is one of the seven major producing areas of Costa rica, Valle Occidental. The harvest time in the western valley is from November to March of the next year, which is regarded as a long harvest area. The coffee flavor has fruit flavor and nutty almond flavor. Rich volcanic soil, sufficient sunshine, with an annual average relative humidity as high as 81%, abundant rainfall and an annual average temperature of 21.5 °C will not be too high, making the crops in this area flourish and conducive to the cultivation of high-quality coffee at high altitude.

In addition, the western valley region has a distinct dry and wet season, and when the coffee harvest season begins, it will enter the dry season, which means that there is sufficient sunshine in this area for washing and insolation. This advantage is seldom found in other producing areas in the country (almost all other famous producing areas in Costa Rica are machine-dried) the average planting altitude is 1000 to 1600 meters.

Finca de Licho is located in the fertile valley of the northern part of the Costa Rican volcano group, belonging to the western valley (West Valley), close to Naranjo, about 1500 meters above sea level. Edgar Aguilar Bonilla, the owner of the estate, has been growing coffee at the estate since the 1960s, and has since been taken over by his son Felipe Aguilera Gonz á lez. Like other slightly larger estates, the Agrey brothers have their own washing plant, called Aguilera mill. Most of the Aguilera brothers grow Villa Sarchi, but in recent years they have also experimented with other varieties such as Geisha and Pacamara.

Lichu Manor belongs to the western valley, which is one of the eight producing areas of Costa rica, along with Tarazhu and the central valley. Licchu of the Agrey brothers ranked 4th in the Costa Rican "extraordinary Cup" COE in 2007, and received COE No. 23 in the previous two years (2012).
