In 2015, Mount Kayon Farm had its own washing station and dry husker, so they could export coffee. Such single-farm coffee is rare in Ethiopia.

Mount Kayon Farm covers an area of about 240 hectares and uses natural shade to cover more than half of the area. Animal manure is a major source of fertilizer.
