Today, Brazil is the largest exporter of coffee on the world market, accounting for about 1/3 of the world. Brazil has 26 states and 17 states produce coffee, but seven of them produce the largest, accounting for 98 per cent of the country's total production. Of these, Parana, SaoPaulo, Minas Gerais and EspiritoSanto account for 80 per cent of total production, while Minas Gerais accounts for the most amazing production, accounting for 30 per cent of production.
Unlike coffee grown in hills and mountains in other countries, most Brazilian coffee is grown on plains or plateaus and is flat and suitable for mechanized operations.
