Kena Farm
Daniel Tardis (Daniel Tadesse) is one of the pioneers of small coffee farmers who maintain the reputation of Guji (Ethiopia). He was born into a traditional Guji coffee family and is deeply rooted in Kebele, which Dari Kidame; found in Hamballa Waamana woreda. Now he lives in Odo Shakiso. This is home to producers like Tesfaye Bekele (Suke Quto Farm) and Haile Gebre (Shakisso Farm).
Daniel Tate's childhood
The buttered smell of roasted coffee evokes Daniel's childhood memories. The Tadesse family organizes weekend parties and communicates with each other. Coffee is also used in Guji-when groups seek peace with each other, or other special ceremonies, such as weddings. However, it was not until the beginning of the 21st century that Guji developed into an economic coffee growing area. Soon, producers, large and small, including Daniel's father, began to grow coffee more seriously.
"together with my brothers and sisters, I helped my father grow up on his land. "he showed us how to grow coffee, which was a priceless experience," Daniel explained. When I was in primary school, I continued to help him after school. After the 10th grade, I went to Alage Agricultural College, where I learned a lot about coffee cultivation. "
After graduating from Daniel, he became an independent development agent and worked with small farmers. "I have gained a lot of experience in helping farmers in their daily work. Daniel continued, "I applied what I learned at school and what my father taught me."
Kena Farm
From proper training to best practices. A few years ago, I inherited 2 hectares of land, which gave me the opportunity to put these valuable insights into practice. Over the years, I have expanded my farm by buying neighboring land. Today, I am proud to have 15 hectares of land to grow my coffee. "
Daniel claims that the use of natural fertilizer-actually his neighbor's cow dung-enabled him to produce high quality cow dung. He and his wife, Zilitu Godana (Zeritu Godana), hope to continue their pursuit of high-quality coffee. It is natural for him to take part in the Ethiopia Cup. Unfortunately, instead of being auctioned, his work became a national winner. Daniel and Zeri both had three sons: Fedhasa Daniel, Naol Daniel and Yeron Daniel. Although they are very young, their son may inherit the mantle of his parents.
