Rosa's coffee story begins when she was a little girl. Rosa's father, Mr. Cifuentes, taught her basic coffee cultivation and prepared her for her coffee life. "my father is a coffee grower. When I was a child, I used to work for him on the farm. " Rosa explained.
Rosa followed in her father's footsteps and started her own farm; La Fortuna (Columbia Cauca). She accumulated her own experience and became the mother of three children at the same time. She is doing the two jobs enthusiastically. "I hope that one day my children will go back to the farm and become the next generation of coffee growers." Rosa, go on.
Rosa likes to pick ripe cherries during the harvest season; April-May. She depilated the coffee on the farm and let it ferment in a jar for 24 hours. "together with the cooperative, I changed some of the procedures of La Fortuna. For example, I let the coffee ferment longer. It helps me a lot to improve the quality of my coffee. "
After fermentation, she put the parchment under a homemade parabolic drying bed with a plastic cover to dry. She made sure that the parabolic dryer was ventilated.
